A: It turns off but pnot completely like you would have to boot up again. It is on again when you open it,

A: Yes

**Q: Do you still put a screen protector on the iPad or does one come with this**
A: It does not come with a screen protector. However, the cover does close over the screen so I didn’t think I needed one. This works fine for me!
