This shade has a great fit to my iPad and shades from direct light well. I do have the iPad mounted to a tripod which I can make a preferred height and viewing adjustment.

I’ll get right to the point:Pros:It’s made well and my Samsung 10.5” Galaxy Tab fit great.Cons:Way too heavy. Added too much weight to my DJI controller with the tablet holder and made it top heavy.Poor design for the way it shades the tablet. Unless you are looking at the tablet pretty much flat, it cuts off almost half the screen when you angle the controller upwards. And re-adjusting the tablet every time you move the controller is not an option!So with that said, it’s not going to work for my needs and the reason why it’s going back…

It does shade the tablet from the sun but it’s also good for doing work at night without disturbing others. Cons: if you have any kind of case around your tablet you’ll have some issues.

I imagine it would work great if used without a protective case but I bought this to use when hiking etc and need a protective case on the ipad pro. This will not fit at all if you have a case on your iPads.

I suspect this was originally designed not for the use by drone operators, but for individuals who wanted privacy while watching their iPads.The shade is very well-built and the only one I was able to find to use with the iPad Air 4, but disappointingly, in order to be able to see the entire screen, one has to position their iPad flat parallel to the ground as opposed to at an angle as one typically would when flying. I do not know any drone operators who position their iPad in any other way other than at an angle directed towards their face.If the manufacturer is reading this, it would be wonderful for you to make this shade with a less sharp angle so that the device being shaded could be positioned and angled towards one’s face and still be able to see the entire screen.As well as this fit on my iPad, and as sturdy and well-built as it was, not being able to see the entire screen while operating my drone was a dealbreaker and I had to return it.

Fits my iPad perfectly and stays in place as expected.

Used it on my iPad Air 2 to fly a Mavic 3 drone. A big improvement. Worked great.
