The quality looks really good for that price
The finish looks great but I didn't pay attention and got this r8 when I needed a mt2. I got the mt2 version of this and it works great

No complaints. However, wish the kit included a flat wrench for the collet.

Use as a mini lathe collect chuck
I have been wanting a collect chuck for the mini lathe for a while. Since my lathe had a MT3 spindle bore I ordered the ER32 collect with a MT3 shank. Made a 5 inch draw bar and this works great for holding small parts for turning. This gives you the abillity to remove work and reinstall for repeatability.

Over .005” Runout
The Morse taper arrived with dings and raised burrs. Fortunately, it is dead soft so they stoned out easily. Taper fit was otherwise excellent after checking with Prussian blue.The ER taper is terrible though. There was over .005” radial runout, and .003” of undulation along the taper. Recutting the taper (dead soft, again) fixed that.The collets themselves runout fine in other (better) holders. The collets are the only reason I kept the kit.Overall, it can be made acceptable if you put work into it. Otherwise, pay up for a reputable maker.

Actually imperial parts, not metric equivalents.
Came clean and well packed. Unfortunately the TIR Is quite large. Some collets are over 0.004 tir with a known round end mill installed. A couple are a tight fit for exact size stock, but they still work.

Good quality and value
I was pleasantly surprised by the fit and finish of this collet set. I would have kept it except I did not factor in the design which essentially accommodates the collets in front of the nose spindle. That plus the MT2 taper not seating all the way in meant that the overhang beyond the front of the lathe spindle was considerable. So side pressures are increased and any run-out is exaggerated as the piece in the collet is likely to be about 4" from the spindle nose...So long story short, I opted to go with the MT2 collets which fit inside the spindle nose. It limits me to 1/2" or less, but anymore than that and just mount it in the chuck.
