Spoiler alert: You'll never look at your waffle iron the same again!
Not just recipes: Daniel Shumski's humble and amusing journey through waffle-land actually makes for a fun little read, so be sure not to skip right from the titles to the ingredients lists and directions.About those recipes, though... While I'll probably never scramble eggs in my waffle iron, I came away with a number of great recipes (you MUST try the brioche - it's SO easy and a delicious component of several items) and inspiration. There's even a section with tips and advice on how to get your own recipes going - what generally works, what doesn't. You can follow Shumski's recipes, or take them to a whole other level. For example, Shumski's idea to make a grilled cheese sandwich in the waffle iron is sheer brilliance by itself, but particularly so if you like to layer it with bacon or tomato. For those of you who do, you know the anguish of trying to flip a loaded sandwich once it's been grilled to perfection on the first side, only to have it all come apart mid flip. In your waffle iron, of course, there's no flipping involved. Problem solved. Bonus: Your sandwiches cook in half the time since both sides cook at once. Double bonus: If you're using a Belgian waffle maker, your sandwich (if you center it, albeit against Shumski's advice - he suggests placing it as far away from the hinge as possible so as to get better leverage for closing it in, but my waffle iron, the Oster CKSTWFBF21, closes very nicely with the sandwich in the middle) will be cut into four sections, perfect for sharing right out of the waffle iron.Sandwiches, of course, are only a small part of Will it Waffle? Shumski will have you preparing any number of dishes, from desserts to main courses (think ravioli, macaroni and cheese, stuffed chicken breasts, tamale pie - SO yummy!), all in half the time it takes to cook the same dishes in a pan or in the oven (hint: chocolate chip cookies). I've tried about ten recipes so far and, although there are probably many I'll never get to, I've already discovered several that have quickly become staples at my house. I hate to name drop, but the chocolate-stuffed French toast is insane. My whole family is in on this, too, as Shumski's book is perfect for seasoned and aspiring waffle iron chefs alike. My kids, including my 14 year-old son, have been having a great time in the kitchen with Will it Waffle? and our new waffle iron. Triple bonus!

A Very Well Written Waffle Recipe Book, A Must Have!
Anyone that makes waffles needs this book. My favorite recipe is the overnight yeast risen waffles, it's really brill! As one would suppose, yeast is used to create this master piece. I'd like top mention that the author said he found more than one person that tried this recipe, didn't like the results. My conclusion is the users used an inferior type/brand of yeast, and on that note, the yeast I used was purchased from KAF (King Arthur Flour)...it's their instant yeast. I'm not sure of the brand other than it's the only yeast they offer, and I've purchased it several times from them. On that note, yeast is best kept in the freezer, in fact, the yeast I am using had a best by date on it that expired 4 years ago, but keeping it in the freezer, the yeast will keep indefinitelyAnyways, buy Daniel's book, there are other good recipes in it but I'm stuck in a rut and make mostly the overnight yeast risen waffles. I should mention I've tried over a dozen of his recipes so far and all of them have turned out good, so this book is no one hit wonder, there are plenty of good recipes for you to try. It's also written expertly IMO, expertly in that it is easy to read and comprehend. Seriously, you need to buy this recipe book if you love to make and eat wafflesIf you're looking for a good waffle maker to buy, this https://www.amazon.com/Oster-CKSTWF2000-Belgian-Waffle-Stainless/dp/B00A1MEP6M/ref=sr_1_3?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1514525948&sr=1-3&keywords=waffle+maker is the waffle maker I purchased recently and I highly recommend it. It's economical and makes waffles easily, that wont stick to the griddles. I will spray a cooking oil on it periodically and never have experienced sticking wafflesIn the past I have thought of buying an expensive heavy grid waffle maker yet the one I mention above, is all I need and therefore, I have no desire to upgrade, it's just not necessary

Not for the Wafflizer
They should not say on the cover it was written by Daniel Shumski creator of the Wafflizer, when none of the recipes are for the Wafflizer. Checking the publication date, he apparently wrote this book several years before the Wafflizer came out. It has recipes for regular waffles, Belgian waffles, and novelty waffles, which are the thinnest. Each recipe specifies which waffle iron is best for that recipe. None of them say Wafflizer— it’s not mentioned in the book, just on the cover.

Successful gift!
My niece and nephew love waffles but didn’t have a waffle maker that was deep for filling. They sent me short videos during their first try at making savory waffles & they looked delicious. They poured the first layer of waffle mix, then added cheese, veggie burger, and spinach before pouring the top layer of waffle mix. When it was done, it opened easily without sticking & they served it with gravy. They love it!

Will it waffle? Yes it wil!
To my astonishment, having been a keen consumer of waffles for over half a decade, this book is a real eye opener. I’ve been very conservative in my approach to use of a waffle iron. Make a batter, drop it in cook and hey presto. But this book takes use of the iron to a different level. Cook bacon? Yes, it’s brilliant. And egg. Left over macaroni cheese…does it waffle well. To my surprise, it’s a delight. A crispy, cheesy snack made in minutes fro leftovers that would have gone out for the birds. The recipes are eclectic and even those bordering on the bizarre work well. Invest in this book if you truly want to expand the potential of the trusty waffle iron. I can’t recommend it enough.

Found better recipes online
I guess this is a good book. But i wanted waffle recipes that are easy and could be given to babies who follows baby led weaning. It just didn't work for me. I couldn't even get any inspiration for blw recipes. Found better recipes online. Sweet potato and egg waffles are staple in my home now.

A cookbook that is fun
Written and illustrated to be easy to use, and full of delicious ways to add more calories to your diet. Waffles with melted marshmallows and chocolate, waffled grated potatoes, and lots of tips for making much more use of your waffle iron. The author sadly had to test and eat every recipe many times, so they are reliable recipes and you can make very impressive snacks if you follow the instructions.

Addictive, delicious recipes
Fantastic book, just what I wanted it to be: lots of brilliant ideas to use the waffle maker not just waffles. Be warned though, bacon in the waffle maker is very addictive. I *might* have eaten a whole pack by myself. If you’re thinking of buying this book, stop thinking and just buy it.

How to Waffle an egg !?
I bought this book because I wanted to make waffles, not to learn how to waffle an egg! There are just 2 recipes for waffles. Great if you want to use your waffle iron as an all-purpose cooking machine, but not what I was looking for.
