Great book to start doing it
The book gave good impression already when I browsed through it for the first time. It succeeds to be lightweight and still is comprehensive. It presents all aspects that are important to engineer software that users will like: the key ideas, important techniques, examples from real projects, and recommendations for good practice in the organization. The text is simple to read, yet is deep-enough to guide the reader in how to start applying the approaches it recommends. I liked the many recommendations of how-to-do-it, especially 'designing for reality'. The book will work well for self-studies or in a class-room setting because of its well-understandable language, the many schematic drawings, and the photographs and examples from real projects. In addition I recommend the book to requirements engineers and business analysts because it shows nicely where and how the disciplines overlap. Good job, Michael and Markus. Thank you!
