Casamode Multi-Grip Clear Ribbed Runner Rug Plastic Carpet Protector Mat 26" X 10'0"

I read all the reviews on this 26"x10' runner before I purchased it. It was as I had read: a little wrinkly and had an odor straight out of the package, that I no longer noticed once I placed it flat on the floor. My purpose for this purchase was to discourage my head strong cat from scratching the installed carpet in my apartment. I wanted plastic mats with spikes so I could have the option of placing them spike side up, as well as hoping the spikes would grip the carpet better than without. This product is as described, and reasonably priced. I may invest in pins or clips to hold it in place if that becomes an issue, but regardless, I am satisfied with my purchase, and I'll be ordering more. As a side note, it was easy to cut a small piece off for a tiny area.

This item is perfect in every way except for the chemical odor it gives off. I'm hoping it goes away so the child (who this is for) can return to sleeping in their room. Even the dog doesn't want to sleep in that room. I'm giving it a week. I'd put it outside to air out but it is so cold, I'm afraid it might freeze and crack, etc or otherwise degrade the product. Arrived on time. A good thickness...will definitely work for purpose which is to protect carpet.

The only reason why I am giving 3 stars. Because the grip studs are actually rounded so they don't actually keep the plastic in place. They are the pointy ones that actually grip to the carpet for little or no movement. Other wise, it is holding up well after 2 weeks in use.

It doesn’t work on a soft plush carpet it is to thin and flimsy. It would probably work fine on a firm thin carpet placed over concrete but I need something with it’s own firmness

Way too thin and flimsy - even over a firm tight carpet, moves all over and wrinkles up when you step on it.Pay an extra 10$ for a better quality.

I use this to cover my patio furniture with the sprickley side up to keep the neighbors cat off my furnature. It works real well. The cat loves my patio. He's an ok cat, but I tired of cleaning his hair off my furnature before I can sit on it.

This carpet runner is a steal! The length and width ensure coverage of large amounts of space and it hooks into your carpet with minimal fuss. It's super easy to clean and comes packaged in an easy-to-open box. I highly recommend this carpet runner!

It doesn't stick to the carpet very well considering it has spikes underneath. On the Brightside, you do get a good amount of the product.
