This product is effective in clumping sludge and dirt in the bottom of my Koi Pond
I've used Pond zyme for years in my Koi Pond. It is easy to use and not harmful to fish. It seems slow to work, but it's good bacteria that consumes the sludge and dirt in the bottom of the pond by clumping it together. Particles that cloud the water that the filter might not normally pick up. It takes 4-6 weeks to establish a colony, but it will help clear the water in my pond along with the aid of a UV sterilizer. Just follow the directions on the jar.

Wow!
I was not expecting such dramatic results. I have a small backyard pond with 6 large goldfish. It’s in the shade under a tree, but still grows a lot of string algae in the winter. Because of the fish and the debris from the tree, the water was getting very dark and full of sludge. I thought I would have to do a complete drain and scrub it out soon. But I found this product on Amazon with good reviews and decided to give it a try.I dosed the pond with a half dose (because I’m cautious with introducing new things to my aquatic environment) on a Saturday morning before heading out of town for the weekend. When I got home the next day, I was shocked! I could see the bottom of the pond everywhere in the pond. I could see the pond snails I added to take care of the algae. I hadn’t seen them since I put them in. I thought they had died. I even saw a tadpole swim by that I had NO idea was in there.If your pond needs help, give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Harmful to goldfish
My fish are dying after applying this product to my 300 gallon fish pond. The instructions for application were followed exactly. All other chemical levels were adjusted to normal. Fish became lethargic and appeared partially paralyzed. 3 of 15 have died so far. I am very sad and disappointed. I have been regularly using other API Pond products with much satisfaction for many years. (i.e. Stress Coat with water exchanges, Algaefix, pH Down as needed, etc.) However, this API product seems to be harmful to goldfish.

Great product!!
Works great. I sprinkle a little in every couple weeks (per directions) and it keeps things in balance, especially with the weather being so warm.

Totally ineffective product that makes false claims.
This product just did not deliver what it promised i.e. a clean pond. It is totally ineffective and waste of money. All claims made for the product are false. Extremely unhappy and feel cheated of my money. Would never buy it ever again.

No Effect at all!
Used up the whole tub.... had absolutely no effect. Would have been better to just throw the money in the pond!

Yes it really does work
This really did the job, cleaned all the sludge. I have now discovered that I need to replace the liner, that’s how good it was.....🤣😂
