Detailed and informative
I've also read OWWB volume one and both works have cause me to rethink and restructure certain aspects of a novel I'm working on. The sections on monarchies and class systems I found to be especially helpful at this stage.

Overall a great book but has it's flaws
For the most part the book is solid and would get 5 stars but the flaws do take away from it. The writer leans way to much on being so gender neutral in nearly every example where a gender would make sense that sometimes the writing is jarring... And it's very clear that in the world building section the writer doesn't have a real clue of Earth's real history and gets a few things very wrong. It's very clear he's going by what is in modern text books and no sources of information from our actual historical past. This doesn't detract from the actual advice in the book, which is actually good and the questions that get presented are great questions to consider. I really enjoyed his On Writing section more and all the examples are good.

Invaluable Resource for My Writing
I've followed Timothy on YouTube for years, and only recently decided to purchase his books (yes, I bought both). As the title says, this book, and the other, are invaluable resources for my writing. I find myself referencing back to these books almost every time I write just to be sure I am writing the best that I can, and every time I find the help that I need. One day, when I secure a publishing deal and make it big, I will make sure to put a special thanks out to my favorite Youtuber, HelloFutureMe.

Very small book, pricey, poorly packaged by Amazon
I can't comment on the contents of the book, but the book itself is very small. Amazon also did not package it well at all, just threw it into a big box with other items with no protection at all for the book. Very disappointed in Amazon.

Must have someone looking to become a writer
4.5 stars.Much like Tim's video's, which are funny and well thought out, this book goes into the CRAFT of the elements of writing a good story. Stories are not simply written. They are crafted.Sure, you could get the gist of his points by watching the videos. But I certainly don't want turn on a computer screen every time. [This is my personal opinion, but he world had been deworlded enough. We've had enough science and technology.]This is really and handy go-to guide to the craft of writing.I would put this book up there with Stephen King's "On Writing," another must have.

Great source of information.
Much like the gentleman's YouTube channel, this is very quick and easy to utilize all the while being an easy to read source of information.

Amazing as always
I've written many books at this point and still find everything Timothy writes about to be helpful and insightful. Absolute must for fantasy/sci-fi authors.

Incredibly helpful
I absolutely love this book. It helped me flesh out my writing and gave me the tools needed to create more immersive stories and believable worlds. I have both, volumes 1 and 2, and they have been unbelievably helpful in writing, world-building, and even on my DnD campaigns. It contains a lot of information with detailed explanations and examples. 10/10

Informative & Entertaining
Definitely a great resource for aspiring writers, especially if you're looking for advice relating to structure, and the mechanics behind writing. While I didn't agree with all the advice given in this book (as is expected, when one is talking about a very subjective creative process), Tim delivers all of his points with the disclaimer that writing is not made of hard and fast rules, which is a refreshing tone for this sort of book.He uses lots of in-depth examples for each topic, which helps the advice and its application become more concrete; seeing how the formula results in a powerful outcome, when polished into a final product. There isn't much new advice in this book, at least coming from someone who has seen Tim's videos, and has a working knowledge of the writing process, but for newer writers, or anyone who hasn't delved deep into story structure, this is a great general starting point!|| I do want to end this review with my own personal advice, which is to not get so caught up in the structural mechanics of your story, that you set creativity and emotional depth aside. A lot of the advice you absorb will be applied naturally, but if it's not, there's always room for change in editing. If you're focused on structuring each scene in a certain manner, you risk your story becoming rigid, and losing the impact it otherwise would've had. You don't want the writing to distract from the story. ||

As good as the first volume.
I liked the first volume so much that I bought myself a copy of volume 2. I also purchased both books for my son, who is studying creative writing.

Right to the point, in-depth tips for any kind of writer.
Love this book (and the first one) and use them all the time. They are sitting on the shelf right next to my On Writting (Stephen King); Characters, Emotions, and Viewpoint (Nancy Kress); Plot and Structure (James Scott Bell); and of course my Handook for Writers (Troyka and Hess). Must-have for aspiring writers of any kind. Thanks Tim for the great work!
