The thermostat was delivered very quickly. Extremely easy to install, 4 wires to connect - 2 for the connection to boiler and 2 for the mains connection. A wall mounted box was required as the unit I was replacing was not flush mounted and I didn’t fancy taking a hammer and chisel to my wall. The controls are very easy to navigate and connection to my WiFi was hassle free. A handy QR code is provided to take you to the app - from which you can control the central heating from a smart phone. Definitely recommended.

I used this to replace our old room thermostat which was a 3 wire 240v dial which seemed to be getting inaccurate. The old stat had the live in linked accross the contacts at the stat to provide the switch power to bring on the boiler and this worked perfectly with the new thermostat.I have simple put the 2 channel time clock HW/CH we have onto 24hr for heating and allow the Tuya stat to control the temprature. It has various time setting otpions which can have different times set, so work days it's comes on at our set temp for 2hrs then drops down to 12C for the rest of the day until it's set to come on at 20C evening time. Weekends can have a different timer.Its easy to ask Alexa to lower or raise the temperature by 2 degrees or set a certain temp as an overide to the set point or even ask Alexa what the temp is set at.One thing to note this is designed to fit into a wall box as the rear is fairly deep, ideally a 35mm deep box. I had to fit a dryline box as my previous room stat was only surface mounted onto the plasterboard wall.Overall does exactly what I hoped for, works perfectly with Alexa and looks much more modern than an old dial on the wall

Where do I start?Program built into the thermostat is absolutely terrible.- works sometimes- Loud clicking- Program modes do not work also in the app you cannot change any of the controlled day programs.- You set the temperature to a desired temperature and it goes above the desired temperature.- You have it set below room temperature and thermostat does not kick in until you turn up the thermostat in order to make it kick in.do not purchase this product. It is not value at all for money and is very unpredictable. He comes on and off when it feels like it.. you will see in photo heating set at 17 but the thermostat kicks in and put heating on and turns up

Looks good, but I didn't like that there was a basic plastic 'cover' that you fit to cover the back box.It's visible after the actual stat is fitted.Having said that it's very easy to connect to the WiFi and the electrical terminations are straightforward.

I am afraid I could not use it. It requires AC power, which was not already provided. However, it looked very nice on the wall.

This item needs to have mains power for it to work . No battery’s required . If you are replacing your old unit for this one you will need 3 core wiring plus the earth. 4 wires are actually needed so just create a link between permanent live and boiler live .Not very good with Alexa .the temp is way out mine says the inside temp is 23 Celsius but bloody cold more like 13 Celsius also only £29.99 on eBay including postage . After testing this product for 3 months I can honestly say avoid this item .
