Very pleased with this spring compressor
I ordered these because I was going to be changing the front struts in my wife's 2018 jeep compass. I've changed a couple of sets of struts before, but all of the other times the new struts came with new springs and everything installed. For some reason, NOBODY makes or sells them like that for her compass, so I had to order just the bare struts from Mopar(as well as the couple of wearable items, like spring isolator, dust cover etc)and re use the springs from the struts, because it wasn't worth buying new ones. Even if i did order new ones, I'd still need the compressor to install the springs onto the strut tower. These compressors worked great and I didn't have any issues with either compressing or decompressing the spring with these. I was surprised and how much the spring needed to be compressed tho. The little silver safety things were a nice touch and made me feel better that the tools wouldn't slip off the spring. I'm not sure if it's mentioned on the page or in the info, nor am I sure you're supposed to do it, but I did use a little bit of oil on the threads, to keep them from getting too hot and stripping out

Good Product Worked Well
Used this to compress the coil springs on my 98 Acura Integra. Product inexpensive, worked like it was suppose to and got the job done. There were no instructions. Did my own research and used logic and good common sense to complete the task as this can be very dangerous. Cannot comment on the quality of the metal strength it’s made from. As you begin to tighten the bolt to compress the coil spring it is under thousands of pounds of pressure. If that bolt should snap serious injury could occur. Fortunately everything went well and I was successful in completing my task. I would recommend this product.
