Cute Designs
Molisaka Nail Foil Glue Gel, 2 Bottles 15ml Nail Foil Transfer Gel with 24Pcs Vintage Newspaper aIn theory, this foil should work for a complete nail look. I have used foils like this before with excellent results and this set is on thin plastic which makes it much easier to transfer. You will need a few extra things to make this work like a base coat, topper, and an orange stick or other manicure tool with a sharp edge. You also need a UV or LED lamp. You also need to apply a base color to your nails for these to look good. A white or black polish makes the designs really stand out. I was worried that since these are shipped in flat rolls, there would be creases in the foil but they didn't have that issue. This does come with 2 bottles of foil glue and a plastic cuticle pusher but a metal one works much better to get the designs to adhere. If you plan properly, you could get 2 sets with each foil strip but you really need to measure and cut a bit before using these. I really wish that it was all designs instead of including the color strips - those are boring compared to the design ones. I did find that a spotty application with your base color showing through was really cool looking. Don't expect these to look like regular gel polish - they aren't supposed to be perfect but more of a mottled look.1. Prepare your nail bed by shaping, pushing cuticles back and removing all oils.2. Apply a base coat, and a coat of white or black polish and wait for it dry or cure under a UV or LED lamp3. Apply the adhesive and cure under a UV or LED lamp - I used an LED setting for 60 seconds *you may to use a shorter or longer time depending on your lap - the higher the watts, the less time.4. Apply nail foil glue, cut a piece of foil (just big enough for the nail), and press it on your nails using a cuticle pusher or other tool to cut off the excess after you remove the plastic backing. I cured the nail glue for about 10 seconds just enough so that it was still tacky but not wet.5. Remove the plastic and the foil pattern should stick to your nails.6. Once completely dry, seal it with topcoat to protect the foil.

Really interesting product...and nails!
I ordered this set of nail foils to see what the hype was about and because I thought the printed foils were pretty cool. The end results aren’t at all what I was trying to achieve, but I’m intrigued by the potential. I first tried to use one of the pop art printed foils on a neon green practice nail. Absolute, total fail! After applying the glue and curing for 30 seconds the print wouldn’t rub onto the nail I tried a second time, reducing the curing time to 15 seconds and got a few bits to stick, but nothing even remotely resembled the printed foil. Next, I tried a a gold foil on black polish. Not much foil transferred to the nail, but there was at least more of a design. I added more glue, cured another 15 seconds and added green foil, this time using the hard stick (not the soft end of the stick) to force the foil onto the nail...success! I was fascinated by the results and added a gold sticker for contrast - love the resulting boho, SE Asian vibe! My final nail was a combo of pink, blue and silver foils on a pink polish...so interesting! In the photos the nails look rough, but they’re actually nice and smooth with a single top coat layer. Back to the neon green nail...I was about to toss it out when I decided to add a few lines of gold polish and a matte top coat...I kind of like the Jackson Pollock look! Overall, the foils are hard to work with and control, and I don’t think achieving a smooth application of the printed foils as shown in the product photos is possible. At the same time, there’s a lot of potential for creating unique and abstract designs if you have patience (or already know what you’re doing). This is a fun addition to any nail art kit.

Nice assortment of foils, had trouble with the foil glue
This set came with a nice assortment of foils to start out with if you are just starting with them and experimenting, however i did have trouble with getting the glue to work even after looking up instructions and ensuring I was using a good lamp and allowing enough time. Had another bottle of foil glue that was much easier to work with than this brand.
