Stihl OEM Parts Spool Housing fits FSA56, FSE52 Cordless Trimmers - 4008 710 3600, 4008-710-3600, 40087103600

I've had my FSA57 for about 3 years now, and the head lost one of the brass eyes that the string passes through, and was constantly pulling back into the head, which meant pulling the head and usually a rewind, too. When I went to my John Deere dealer where I bought this to get another head, I found that they made at least 3 different heads for this model! One is a screw on and has an orange ring on the head to grab while you screw it off. Then there's one that pushes on and has a spline type hole. But there's also one like this one, which has the push on head, with the spline type hole, but it has a small rod about the size of a 1/8" welding rod, which is what mine has. I bought one of the other type at John Deere, but it didn't have a slot for the "keeper rod". So I searched and found this one, seeing that it had the fins on the bottom, so I ordered it, and it worked. One suggestion for the seller- put a pic of the bottom where the hole that fits onto the weed eater's spinner shaft so that people will know that it's the slotted type with the rod slot. I spent 2 weeks looking for the right one. Even the Deere dealer couldn't figure out why there are 3 different style heads. And they didn't even have this one in their books.!
