Fantastic Quality & fit the Sage BOV820BSS the Smart Oven Pro
Superb and affordable Dutch Oven for smaller households of one or two people. I love mine for slow-cooking curries and stews or hotpots.Excellent quality and I own both this 2 litre version and the shallow (3.5 litre) version in this series.Yes, they are HEAVY, but that's what you need in cast iron casserole/slow-cook cookware.I use mine in the Sage BOV820BSS the Smart Oven Pro countertop oven. To fit this 2 litre version you'll need to fit the lower rack with the bars at the bottom else it'll be a couple of millimetres too tall. With the shallow 2.5 litre version, you'll need to slide it in at a slight angle, so the handles are twisted. But both do fit.I have both the traditional red, which looks superb, and the sky blue, which is a beautiful cheerful colour. As they're FREE RETURNS then I'd suggest you take a look.

Compact - what we wanted for log burner
Needed something not too tall to use on a small log burning stove. Was worried about the exposed, non-enamelled bit rusting but it hasnβt. All I have made so far is sausage casserole and chicken curry in it but have repeated these dishes as they are so nice. All the flavour, heat and juices are kept in. I start the food off when lighting the fire so it heats up gradually. The enamel hasnβt cracked. In addition it looks lovely - shiny black.

Value for the price
I bought this as Dutch Oven for bread baking and it works just fine. I have produced amazing sourdough boules in this, for me it is just fine as itβs what I wanted it for. It is solid and heavy, but the enamel finish is nothing like a le creuset, but you get what you pay for. As with any cast iron you must wash and dry thoroughly.

Beautiful pot but requires TLC!
This is the first enamel coated cast iron pan I have used and I didn't notice that the rim of the pot and lid are bare cast iron so unfortunately it rusted slightly as I left them in the dish drainer overnight after washing. Now I am very careful to dry the pot and lid competely and coat the bare parts in oil and store with a sheet of greaseproof paper between the lid and pot. I don't have an oven but if I did I would just season it like a regular cast iron pot and that would stop it from being able to rust. Definitely worth the money though as I couldn't afford a Le Creuset in a million years!I love that this pot is so easy to clean, just soak for a few minutes and any food just wipes off. It also gets really hot and seems to cook stews and soups much better than my other favourite stainless steel pan.

Excellent quality
Just like the French brand, only a fraction of the price.Very pleased with my purchase.Don't put these in the dishwasher, you can but the best way to clean is just soapy water soak and a non scratch sponge. Thus will last forever, I expect.
