Well I used it as a coffin for our very spoiled long lived hamsters final resting place. It is a very well made box. The lid closes firmly and is a bit hard to open but this is good in case you drop it or something it’s less likely to spill the contents all over. Again I didn’t use it for its intended purpose but it is a very nice box
