Q: is this clock meant to be put outside in the weather?

It should be fine to be outside as long as it is on a covered patio area. It is waterproof in the back were the mechanism is. I keep mine in the bathroom and it works just fine there, and it gets up to 90% humidity when the shower is used. It works well. I have had other clocks stop working in the bathroom before because of the steam.

I'm very sorry, I loved the clock, it never worked, I returned it, the new clock never worked so I returned it for the final time. It's a shame cuz it was cool looking. I have no idea how to get in touch with the company. Again I'm sorry
