Brodhead Garrett A-Frame House Framing Kit

I was curious about this balsa wood A-Frame model kit. From what I could at first determine, the kit came with "eight plans" and so I assumed that meant eight different styles of A-Frames to choose from. NOT THE CASE. The eight plans refer to varying slices of the house framing, in addition to the floor specification and the circular stairway. (Which by the way is very elaborate!)Another point of inquiry for me was the footprint of the house. I could not derive the dimensions of the floor from the advertising alone. As it turns out, this house would in reality measure 17 feet, 8 inches wide by 24 feet deep, which, for the 1970's (the year in which the plans are copyrighted) would have been rather cozy, one must believe.My final assessment of this kit is that is NOT for the FAINT of HEART. It's is not something you could easily do in one day. It is extremely detailed and requires much precision cutting, gluing, and measuring. When people ask me when I am going to put this together, I demur and say "When I am Retired!" You will need LOTS of spare time to put this baby together.
