Before buying this, I read a lot of reviews that people were complaining that this item is flimsy, of course it is, it's made from thin wood and paper, just like all fans. It's supposed to be flimsy!The price is perfect and it's as sturdy as it needs to be. If you're looking for anything stronger than you're not really looking for a fan, you're looking for something to pose with. This is a fan to help you stay cool and it doesn't heat up like the plastic ones do.Do I recommend this? Yes, I do!

I bought these for an trip to Las Vegas in an attempt to help stay cool. I was already using this before even boarding the plane. Works as expected, decent quality for the price. I'm now using one in between skin care steps and the other stays in my bag!

I bought these fans for me and my 17 yr old daughter to use to dry our skin care and makeup. My daughter used her's first, and as soon as she opened it, the pin that held it together, (where the fan pivots open at the bottom), fell out and the fan fell apart. I attempted to fix it twice thinking shewas forcingit open incorrectly but I realized the pin was malformed and didn't have a stopper on the end to prevent it from falling out again. We threw it away. The next day i attempted to use my fan and it fell apart too. Same thing. In hindsight, I wish i would've kept the first one so i could've returned the set. Might be ok for a wall decoration but there are prettier and more well-made fans if that's what you want them for. Don't waste your money on these.
