Amazon Basics Room Darkening Blackout Window Curtain with Rod Pocket and Tie Back, 52 x 84 Inches, Grey Beige - Set of 2

I wanted room darkening curtains but didn’t want to go with the standard black or brown or blue colored fabric. These white curtains go with our decor and block probably 99% of the sunlight on this east facing window cutting down on cooling costs during the summer mornings when the sun is most intense.They offer a great deal of privacy (obviously), they are very well made and I found the size is accurately described. They were easy to install and no weird odors out of the package. I would def buy these again or other sizes for other rooms in the house no problem.

Update: I originally ordered the beige curtains but the rod pockets were a bit hard to pull so I ordered the white grommet ones (beige wasn’t available). I will be sending the white back because for one, they arrived with some stains but also because the white color is too bright for the many cream and brown colors in the room. They are a very true pure white. I thought that I would would like the grommets better but they seemed more shower curtain like as some others have noted. This may be worsened by the fact that my curtain rods are a matte aged brass color and the plastic grommets are silver colored so they really stand out. Regardless, I am so glad that I opted to raise the curtains up to ceiling height. It makes the ceiling look so much taller.Grommets - pros - super easy to move and less light comes through at sides and middle; cons- may not match your rod, they aren’t as aesthetically appealing in my opinion, and light comes through the grommetsOriginal review:I chose these for bedroom over other curtains because they were OEKO-TEX certified, blackout, and affordable. They are wrinkled as others have said but I don’t think that many people realize that wrinkle free treatments applied to fabric such as clothes and curtains generally contain carcinogenic chemicals. I would rather the curtains have wrinkles than a questionable chemical finish. I plan to use a steamer on them. One thing I do wish is that they had 42x96 curtains. Right now, none are available.

These curtains are wonderful. They're attractive and well made, and come in multiple sizes and colors. They're very effective at blocking sunlight, and they make the room noticeably cooler in the summer. More than that, in the winter they keep cold air from entering the room through breaches in the windows. They even muffle outside street noise. Many benefits for a small price.

Initial Reaction: Being a college student, I was looking for an inexpensive, great quality, great color, and large enough curtain to block a section of my dorm from light coming from the other side. I must say, I wish I had bought these sooner. As soon as you open the box you get two curtains and two velcro straps to keep the curtains in place if you want to tie them up. I ordered the 52" x 84" curtains in Navy. Immediately, I see the great color and notice the sturdy material that I knew would be good for blacking out the light. Although the purchase came with two curtains, I only needed one to cover a distance of about 50 inches. Although the curtains are sturdy, they fit perfectly on our tension rod (it's a long and thin one, but great quality) and are not heavy enough to bend the rod. Overall, very happy with the order and I know I will be using this curtain for the rest of my time living in a dorm.Pros: -Sturdy / Thick material -Nice colors -Great for blacking out lights -Not too heavy (will be perfect for a good tension rod) -Comes with two curtains and two velcro strapsCons: -Unsure why, but one side of the curtain is white and the other side is navy. This isn't much of a problem for me, but I would rather have an all navy curtain as I was hoping for. -The slot for a tension rod or any rod is pretty small, so make sure you have a thin enough rod.Overall: Overall I would recommend this curtain to anyone, especially college students. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the two different colored sides. Other than that, perfect.

I absolutely adore these curtains! They are the best value for blackout curtains Amazon has to offer, well in my opinion anyway. This spring I needed to update some rooms at our farmhouse to get ready for a memorial, we had about 20 people staying at our home, all from different areas of the world. It was important for me to make sure that good sleep was had by all, I purchased these curtains for four bedrooms, I ordered black and white. I will say, the black are perfect! they block all the light from the outside, I hung these specifically on the west side of the house as that is the side the sun goes down, our guests did not complain and woke up looking well rested. I will say the white curtains are not as room darkening as the black, for obvious reasons. Do they block like the black curtains, no, do they do an incredible job of keeping the bright sunlight out on the east side of the house, absolutely! These curtains are in no way sheer...they are heavy so make sure you have your curtain brackets mounted with heavy duty screws, I didn't and had to rehang them, they are heavy, but get the job done. The one con I have about this product would be that they are not wrinkle free...hello they come folded! However I have steamed them several times, and by about the third steam, they were not noticeable to the average person. I did not try to iron them, as I was nervous about ruining them.I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for an inexpensive blackout curtain.

Effective and good quality. The material does wrinkle, and it doesn't come out with ironing but it's still a keeper.

tela de excelente calidad, tienen su abrazadera del mismo tono, y son sumamente opacas, en estos días con mucho sol por las mañanas, ayudan bastante para conciliar el sueño. En mi caso que trabajo con horarios desfasados, ayudan mucho los días de descanso para dormir en el día.

me encantaron, su material se ve y se siente fuerte, elegante y durable, aun no las lavo, pero ya colgadas lucen espectacular, quería oscurecer la habitación y lo logré. las montas muy rápido, solo ten cuidado de no arrugarlas mucho, porque se les nota bastante. en fin, de ahí en fuera son geniales!!!

No entra nada la luz la tela es de super buena calidad y por el precio claro que valen la pena
