Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | C for Sony E

Seriously, I didn’t expect it to be this good. I thought this was an entry lens for aspc cameras but man was I wrong. This thing outperforms nearly all the lenses I currently have that cost an arm and a leg compared to this. The value for money is insane. Through the roof. I could not ask for anything more.Fits perfectly on my Sony a6700 ASPC camera and is as sharp as ever. It is not heavy either making my everyday camera set up very ergonomic and convenient to carry.It functions amazingly. Aperture is incredible, zoom is amazing and sharpness is very consistent even in 50mm. Incredible I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good versatile aspc lens.

I've had this lens for approximately 6 months and absolutely love it. I had a few reservations since it has a slightly more limited zoom range than its main rivals (Sony and Tamron) and doesn't have lens stabilisation. However, I have no regrets, the zoom range is just fine if you are prepared to move your position when composing and the image quality of the lens means I can work at slightly higher ISO values to avoid the risk of camera shake. The other great thing about this lens is the really short minimum focussing distance which allows you to get really close to your subject if needed, it almost feels like a macro lens. I have a Sony full frame camera but find myself using this camera/lens combination more and more due to it's smaller size and lighter weight.

Used this on holiday with a Sony a6700 for a compact travel camera. Combined with a viltrox 13mm and the Sony 70-350 gives you pretty much all the coverage you could want.Fast hassle free focus. Best thing is it's so light. Just a shame it wasn't a bit wider like a 16mm.Great value for money and whilst the build quality isn't up there with Nikon Z mount. It's plenty good enough

Great lens, the features for photos and video meet expectations for home and semi-professional use. Compact and robust, I recommend it.

Just perfect for photos, but without stabilisation for video

The photo forums seem to agree that this is one of the best lenses to have for your Sony A6xxx. I can only agree and love it. Its not the most compact, obviously, but its well built, super sharp, and F2.8

I was looking for a general purpose lens to go with my new Sony a6400. I liked the fact that it had an f2.8 aperture throughout which makes it good for bokeh (blurred background in portraits) and was good for land scapes too. I would have preferred 16 to 50mm for a wider field of view, but the f2.8 swayed me, being better than f4 in low light situations. Performance is excellent. Crisp clear images, very good colour rendition and overall very good value. For me it is just right.

This lens has been praised in different reviews. Not a single poor review. So I had to test it.- Sharp from corner to corner at f4.0, with all focal lengths- Fast lens, f2.8 for a zoom- Focuses ultra-fast even on A6000.- Images at f2.8 are very good, excellent sharpness in the middle.- Equivalent from Sony is around £1,400 and seems to be less good. This lens is around £400!!- Professional level feel, forget those plasticky kit lenses- Tamron has similar offering, not this kind of quality though. Price neary 2x.In summary, if you have APS-C sensor camera, this is you number 1 lens. Period.* * * * * Highly Recommended * * * * *
