OK, so Dyson didn't have the wheels for my V6 motorhead in stock online or in the retail store near me. The employee at the store was willing to sell me a whole new head for $200 because he didn't carry my wheels. I called Dyson 2 times and received the wrong wheels. Also My battery also died and Dyson didn't have that in stock either. Well Amazon to the rescue I not only bought a stronger battery (non Dyson) and upgraded my machine suction time I also bought a new head for $30 and it is larger as the rest say but it works great and hear this Dyson it has a light in the front. I registered my vacuum but by the time it wore out my warranty was expired. They know when it will break down peeps! Then they don't have your parts so you feel you might as well upgrade! They are selling refurbished machines that cost about $100 more than if I bought a new head for an old vacuum. Buy this part even though it's not Dyson as it's better than what Dyson makes! Like the title says, I was very hesitant. Buying anything other than part for the manufacturer kind of scares me. But with how easy Amazon returns are, I said, why not!I have been very happy with my choice to buy this! We have wood floors and a dog and this vacuum head light shows more hair and dust than I’d like to admit. Stuff that I couldn’t see without it. I vacuum multiple times and day and the original dyson brush heads (we’ve gone through 3) get clogged and jammed with hair. I clean them frequently but once hair gets tangled in the hardware spinners, there’s no fixing it.The spinner on this head is awesome! Especially for wood floor. (This DOES not work on any type of carpeting BTW). I’d even go as far as saying I like it better then the dyson head! It picks up better, has more power, and has a light that shows EVERYTHING for cheap.Again, this only works on hard floors. I tried using it in my rug and the spinner just stops then returns to normal when I move it back to wood floor.

My second vacuum head gave out on me when the hose popped loose. I stuffed it back in, but don't trust it. I was glad to see someone finally put a light on the vac head, since I had modified mine to hold a small flashlight with a broom holder clip. With the late afternoon sun streaming across my tile floor, I notice every speck of dust shows up, and I can zero in on it. Now, I'm sold on the light addition feature.This new vac head is 2" wider than my OEM Dyson V6 Slim, and has a soft roller head instead of my old roller brush. It picks up just as good on my tile floors, if not better. I have a few scatter rugs, and it works well on the low pile rugs, but the thick pile rug, almost like a shag rug, bogs down the motor, and the light and head motor temporarily shut off. Turning the vacuum off and back on restores the light and motor.I have already upgraded my battery, and the addition of the LED lights hasn't caused any performance problems on the length of time operation. With my 21.6V, 3000mAh, 65Wh battery – bought on Amazon – my Dyson ran 30 minutes before the battery gave out. Plenty of time to vacuum my single floor home. I’ve noticed the new vac head will fishtail when the motor is close to the floor, as when vacuuming under a bed, but better control when normal upright cleaning. A nice replacement.Update - 5/11/2022: My vac head started making thumping noises while pushing. Examining the rollers, I found they are made of plastic, and covered with felt, and the felt is wearing off in places - (shown in the 2nd picture), causing the noise. Very cheap construction. There are also felt pads at each end of the roller, and it is only a matter of time before they will wear off. I'm taking off one star for this problem.

Works great on hard flooring but doesn't appear to have enough suction for carpet.

Never done an Amazon review after all that I’ve purchased here. My Dyson V6 motor-head abruptly stopped working so I needed a inexpensive replacement option…read the reviews and tooka chance. Pleasantly surprised. Found myself vacuuming in the dark as the added light really showed all the stuff on the hardwood floors. Afterwards, the floor felt almost mopped it was so clean. Definitely worth the $30 and would buy again in a heartbeat. Die-hard Dyson fan, but needed inexpensive replacement option. This solved both problems. Dyson should add a light to their motor head units.

First thing that I noticed was when I pushed the vac with this attachment was that it swerves all over the place. The second (and an absolute deal breaker) is that the vacuum attachment scrapes on the floor and makes the most irritating noise. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. It’s absolutely not worth even using it. I missed the return window so it’s going in the trash. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I wish I’d have just paid the money for a Dyson.

I’d been using an old V6 on my garage floor that has some mats for comfort. Factory Dyson head finally wore out on the bottom. Factory Dyson mostly for carpets would get stuck on the mats from suction. This one doesn’t get stuck and still picks up all the dirt. I also use an adapter from Amazon to use Milwaukee M18 batteries with the Dyson.

I added the replacement cleaning head to my Dyson DC58 and it works great vacuuming my hardwood and tile floors.

This is brilliant, for the fraction of the price you would pay for a genuine Dyson part, this is amazing!I was skeptical about buying a part that wasn’t genuine Dyson, I have an old Dyson animal model, and wasn’t sure that the part would fit. But it fits perfectly and it does an amazing job!The light really helps see those little bits on the laminates (I have a cat and a dog) so it helps see all the little hairs, it sucks up everything that’s left on your floor better than my genuine Dyson parts. I would definitely be ordering from this company again!
