I have been dehydrating away!! I wish I would have gotten a bigger one but I don’t have much room. It works great, I’ve done peaches, strawberries, bananas, plums. Tomorrow I’m doing pineapple & apples. Over the weekend I’m doing jerky. Well worth the price but it is small so it doesn’t hold a lot of food even on the 5 trays, so keep that in mind. As the food gets smaller I just move it around & add more. Flip them over & add more. Restset timer & temp & let it go, shuts off automatically. The trays are metal that is much better than my other one. Just keep hydrating, it very easy to use, set temp, time, start. 👍

I am so happy I bought this dehydrator. I saw some that were so much more expensive but I read many reviews & gave this one a try. It’s amazing, compact, easy to clean & use, pretty quiet, overall…magical!!!! I taught my husband how to use & clean it & he makes dog treats at least once a week. We’ve shared these dog treats with friends’ dogs & the friends have in turn bought this dehydrater & been just as impressed & happy. Another friend will be placing his order as I type this. My husband & I use chicken breast, he slices thick and I slice thin. No seasoning or oil. Just put on trays & it defaults to the perfect temp & time. I like to let the finished product cool for a bit the turn the trays upside down & pop the dog jerky off the tray. Easy to clean with soap & water. We shake the excess water off then lay the trays in the oven to drip dry all the way. Amazing appliance !!!! So happy we bought it & would recommend it a thousand times. Thank you Magic Mill!

I was hoping it would not have a fan. But it does, and it runs constantly during the drying process. Other than that, it is a nice dehydrator. It's small and that was what I was looking for.

I resisted buying a dehydrator for months, and finally broke down and bought this one last week. I've used it constantly since it arrived! This little unit really surprises me with how efficient and well-made it is. A quick search online told me the trays are dishwasher-safe, and I use the dishwasher for a quick clean after a few batches. So far, I've dried strawberries, apples, oranges for a wreath, and banana chips. I honestly don't know how I've gotten along without this unit for so long! As for the user manual, as thin as it is, every page is packed with information on drying times, temperatures, and how-tos! If you ever wanted to try drying veggies, meat, or fruit for eating or decorating, you can't go wrong with this dehydrator for any price, and especially for the price on Amazon!

I have used this dehydrator several times to dehydrate meats (steak, chicken breast, thighs, and gizzards) and fruits (strawberries and oranges) and have been extremely satisfied with the results. The dehydrator comes with a little "cookbook" that was super helpful in determining the temperature and times that would be required for each item. The touch controls are sensitive and it is easy to overshoot times/temperatures when first using. The timer is accurate and is set in 30 minute increments, but displays the time remaining per minute which I like. While operating, the machine is quiet, with just a fan noise that isn't loud enough to hear outside of the kitchen. Whatever you are dehydrating will fill your space with an aroma, the fruits gave off a wonderful smell, but the meat/proteins can be a punch in the face when you open a door to the room/house - especially if unseasoned (like when making dog treats). The trays are sturdy and had no burs on the metal mesh which was an awesome discovery, especially for a product of this price. The trays are easy to clean, but I have cleaned them all by hand so I cannot speak on the dishwasher. The produced products have been delicious, and when I have made dog treats my dog has preferred them over store bought ones. Some tricks that I learned while operating this product: - Place thicker/larger items on closer to the bottom otherwise you'll have longer dehydration times - Fattier items (like chicken thighs) are more likely to stick to your trays, try to remove some of the fat - Slightly twisting the trays when the food is done will help pop items off and doesn't warp or damage the tray - Use a scrubbing brush when cleaning the trays, a rough sponge will get grated like cheese - The cookbook gives temperature ranges, using a middle temp. produced the best results I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking to use a dehydrator for making their own dehydrated fruits, garnish, jerky, or dog treats. It is extremely easy to use this product and it has produced fantastic results!

This seems to be a good dehydrator for the price. Yes, there are cheaper ones available, but they have plastic trays and lack digital controls (and might not have operation manuals either). This dehydrator has digital time and temp controls. It has a helpful guide book with some recipes, operating info, time and temp suggestions for various foods. The book, sadly, seems to have been written by someone who couldn't speak much English. Portions of it are impossible to grasp, and the reader is left guessing as to what the author might be attempting to express. That said, it is still better than most instructions accompanying cheap electronics these days, and the really important stuff, namely the time and doneness chart for various foods is great. The trays are metal screen within a clear plastic frame. These trays seem rather flimsy, like they are the thinnest possible allocation of materials. I don't expect them to hold up for very long with regular use. I almost docked a star for that, but really, I guess I have to consider that this is comparatively a low priced item, so longevity isn't to be expected. If I get a lot of use from this dehydrator, I will replace it later with one that has a sturdier construction. I have used it a few times already, and love being able to dehydrate foods at home. It really is worth buying if you compare the mark-up on stuff like beef jerky and dehydrated marshmallows and fruit "chips" to what it costs to make them at home with this dehydrator. It might be healthier to home dehydrate foods, especially since you will not be adding a bunch of preservatives and chemicals like most of the plastic packaged foods have. The dehydrator was also very well packaged and boxed securely for shipping. It more than exceeded expectations in that regard. Bottom line: It has a lot better features than the slightly cheaper dehydrators. It comes with instructions and has steel trays. The only compromise is that the trays don't feel very sturdy. I would recommend this one if you're looking for a budget priced dehydrator that has some of the features of higher end ones. But, if you think you'll get a lot of use from it, and if longevity and sturdiness is important, then perhaps it would be best to get a more expensive and durable model.

I purchased this device to dehydrate and warm raw vegan food. I made some mushroom jerky using it. It served it's purpose. I like that it was easy to use. It has an option to adjust the time and temp. Pretty simple and straight to the point. When adjusting the time and temp, the device is a bit loud. I didn't care for the loud beeping noise it made while adjusting and the loud being noise it made when the timer was up. The shelves are stackable and plastic. There is really not enough room to adjust between the shelves as they only stack a top each other. So, if you want to dehydrate something a little taller than the allowable space, you'll be disappointed. I had this item for less than 30 days. Eventually, the plastic shelves began to crack. Though the shelves were fairly easy to clean, they are very fragile. It's hard to clean the base. You can only wipe it down and not emerge in water. Initially, I liked the idea of this dehydrator because it was compact. But, I noticed that no matter what I dehydrated, my food smelled and tasted funny. I think it's caused by the newness of the machine. Also, I realized the machine is too small and limited in what I could dehydrate. Functionally, it worked well. Overall, it's just not for me.

Okay, wow! This thing is so compact, but does soooo much! It’s so small and mighty that I kept it in my office while dehydrating one day at work🤣 it’s incredibly well made. Easy to use and the digital buttons are fantastic. So much fits inside! I can’t wait to level up and keep trying new foods. Worth the money.

This item came broken. The top cover is plastic and it was in peices. the trays are stainless embeded in plastic so lots of plastic. Not reordering.
