The MacTaggart Brothers Trilogy: Hot Scots, Books 1-3

Good Set of Romances
This is a good set of the first 3 books in the Hot Scots romance series, about the MacTaggart family. This set features the stories of Lachlan, Aidan, and Rory MacTaggart, as they find the women meant for them.Dangerous in a Kilt -- 3.5 stars -- Lachlan and Erica's story -- This romance is good, but I did get really irritated at Lachlan a few times. He was so determined to avoid a repeat of his past pain that he refused to consider a real relationship with Erica. In doing that, he hurt her very badly, and he was very lucky that she forgave him. I will say that I liked how much she made him grovel at the end, and I liked that they found their HEA.Wicked in a Kilt -- 4 stars -- Aidan and Callie's story -- This is a good addition to this series. I adored Aidan, he was just a sweetheart. I liked how patient he was with Callie, and how he was wiling to wait for her to be ready for a relationship with him. I did get irritated with Callie, though, when she hurt him so badly. But I liked that she was able to get past her fears, and they found their HEA.Scandalous in a Kilt -- 3.5 stars -- Rory and Emery's story -- This is a good addition to the series, but I got so annoyed with Rory. He was just so hot/cold, and his behavior caused Emery a great deal of pain. She understood that it was because he was trying to avoid a repeat of the pain from his failed relationships, but he still hurt her badly. I liked Emery a lot, and she was good for Rory, but I did wonder why she let him get away with treating her so badly. I was glad, though, when Rory finally got past his issues and they found their HEA.I didn't like that all of the books were written from the viewpoint of the heroines. We did get one chapter from the viewpoint of the heroes at the end of each book, but that was not enough. It would have made all the books so much better if some of the chapters had been written from the man's viewpoint -- I really wanted to understand what was going on in Lachlan, Aidan, and Rory's heads several times.Overall, my rating for this set of books is 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 stars.

Three Scottish Brothers Courting Three American Women
This trilogy of books in one book is a fun meet cute take on the Scottish man and American woman theme. They can be read as standalone books but they do have connecting family. Mostly the MacTaggart family, but there is an American brother and sister also in the series.Dangerous in a Kilt is Lachlan and Erica's story. Erica helped a friend with a marriage of convenience so he could get his citizenship. Now he doesn't want to divorce her. She thinks she is having a one night stand with Lachlan, but Lachlan is using the home next to her while her neighbors are on vacation. Their one night becomes a month affair where they both fight the attraction because of past relationship problems. Can they find healing and love together?Wicked in a Kilt is Aiden and Calli's story. Aiden comes to America hoping to find his brother, Lachlan's luck in finding a bride. He finds Calli and he is sure she is the one right away. She takes time to convince though.Scandalous in a Kilt is Rory and Emery's story. Emery just got laid off from her job and is in New Orleans for a fun weekend. Rory is a lawyer (well barrister) in town on business. He's been burned by a third wife and has no desire to look for a fourth. They have a hot one night stand that leads to a marriage of convenience. Will Emery be able to tone down her free spirit, call it like she sees it attitude to be the unemotional rule following wife Rory wants her to be? Or will she drag him into her playful fun life?

Who doesn't love a man in a kilt? Certainly not me or these three heroines. Strong, sassy women and hunky, kilted Scots are written in a way of capturing and holding your attention with fascinating and steamy storylines. The character development in #3, Scandalous in a Kilt, is engrossing and thought-provoking... and yes steamy.

This series is Very Racy! Love the continuing story of the brothers and hope there are tales of the sisters, too.

Loved the trilogy but...
I loved these books but it would have been a better read to get the feelings of both sides of the couples not just the girls side. I almost felt cheated to not get the guys feelings in the same book. With that being said, I would read this author again.

3 Hot Scots in 1 Hot Book
This was my introduction to kilts, Gaelic, and all things involving hot Scottish men and big cabers. Wow! Those MacTaggarts need to come with a combustible warning. I loved the simplicity of these stories. The characters are endearing, funny and relatable.

Wow
Read these books in a trilogy pack. First Lachlan was awesome I loved his story with Erica. The highs and lows and then how he went about apologising to her. Was an awesome read. Then Aidens story with Calli, how there was a mix up in the beginning as to who he was supposed to be till finally getting it together so they could be together.Rory’s to me was the best. I just loved Emery and her outlook on life. How she showed him how to live and love again. The narration was awesome too.

Three Hot Scots!
I loved the MacTaggart Brothers! They live in Scotland, but for various reasons, they are in the USA and each falls for a wonderful American woman. In Book One, Erica mistakes Laughlan for her blind date.In Book Two, Calli thinks Aiden is the bachelorette party stripper. In Book Three, Emery receives an intriguing proposition from Rory. Each couple have problems to iron out, especially in Book Three.Great stories, hot chemistry, witty dialogue and happy endings.
