These bulbs are great IF ONLY they would last longer than 6 months! I have already had a refund from Amazon for part of one box of 5 but now another box, bought in August 2022, are beginning to fail so far 2 of the 5 have burnt out. I will try another brand now albeit it with a slightly different spec, 7w not 8w, buy with caution. Having said that some of these bulbs, and I have had 15 to date, are still going strong but I suspect days are numbered.

I’ve bought these before and believe they came in a cardboard carton. This time each bulb came in cased in rigid plastic packaging. I’d like to think that, along with an economic saving for me, these LED bulbs are reducing energy and resources used. It seems completely unnecessary to encase each bulb in an oil based product and not sure I’d buy again.

We purchased this item as a replacement for the now discontinued Sylvania HiSpot ES63 Halogen (64mm wide, 62mm deep, colour temperature: 2800K, 700 lumens, 25 degree beam angle, 75W) despite them not being a direct replacement (which is simply not available) as they are narrower and shorter, and therefore I had several concerns. However, we are very pleased with these replacements and cannot wait to replace all of our old bulbs with these ones.As they are replacing bigger bulbs, they are a little recessed and there is a noticeable gap around them within the fitting, practically this is not an issue as you a) get used to it, b) the light flow is not affected, in fact, the wide angle of this bulb provides a nice and wide beam, c) the colder beam, combined with the wide angle provides a lot more light than the old bulbs despite them being 100 lumens less (see pic which shows the new bulb on the left and the old one on the right).Just be aware that, as per the product picture, the lightbulb is white all over, not transparent like most bulbs (we were caught out by this), hence it would work perfectly within a white fitting, but something to consider if you plan to use them within chrome or other coloured fittings.We are also very pleased with the colour of the light which truly resembles daylight, I cannot emphasise enough just how much more light we now have in our kitchen thanks to these.

within six months of purchase and use, these bulbs have gone dim and starting flickering. Not exactly what i expected.

Incredibly bright bulbs with a wide spread of light, however I had one fail after a few months and it seems impossible to get a replacement without a lot of fuss. Seller not very helpful.

Much brighter that other G10 leds I have tried, really are a replacement for 50w halogens, a little whiter than a halogen but not the stark white of some others.
