Definitely louder than some of my other altec speakers which are smaller, I use it to listen to music at bed and it plays over the sound of a VERY loud powerful fan perfectly without my having to turn the volume up full blast like I was having to with smaller models.

I liked the sound alot. Very clear and crisp, with a boomy enough bass. It's portable in the sense that it has a strap but it's not small enough to like take with you cycling or anything like that. But if you need a portable party speaker this is the one. Perfect for on or near the water

I love the shear volume this speaker. I only say it has two cons. Number one, I wish the strap could go on the back. Number two, when the volume is turned all the way up. You tend to lose a noticeable amount of bass.

The size is like a boom box back in the day which the speaker comes with a sling to carry. I truly enjoy the batter life and availability to charge my phone during use. When using a jbl speaker that was smaller the jbl sound quality was better but I do say the portability of having the speaker in the pool makes up for the slight difference. Overall I'm impressed with the speaker just wish the sound was a bit better.

The sound quality is pretty good. The battery life is a lil shorter than stated but overall it will last during your party or cookout etc. Fairly light so carrying it around is not a problem. The lights and charging are a cool and a plus when buying this one.

Junk bought 2 of these. Charger broke on 1 bout 60days after I purchased and the other broke month after that. Been waiting for 2 months for a new charger from Altec Lansing and all they say is it coming but hasn't shipped out

Well made and sounds really good . Very versatile to use and deep bass sound . I like wireless phone charging too . Would definitely recommend purchasing. Shipping took a little while ,but it was worth the wait .

bought this with fingers crossed, ive sent back 5 other similar speakers....this has more power and clarity than i expected, for those complaining about weight, good speakers are not light so a non issue for me....this unit really sounds great in my 20ft ceiling workshop and strapped on to my motor cycle
