Wonderful additive for soap at a great price!
I use sodium lactate at 5% in my hot process soaps - 1.6oz for 32oz of oils, added after the post-cook superfats. It helps loosen up the soap for designing, it hardens the soap to make the bars last longer in the shower and it acts as a preservative.I really don't want to make soap without it.I've been buying the 16oz bottles, but then I saw this - twice as much product for only four dollars more - this is a great price for hobbyists!

Poor product
Product was received without a sealed safety seal, the lid was not secure and missing about a 1/3 of the product.

Decent price, made in my home state of MI, and high quality? SOLD.
This stuff is a must have for CP soap making. It really does help harden the soap loap faster so you can cut it up literally just one day after...even for CP soaps that are heavy on the olive oil. I suspect I get faster curing times to, but it is difficult to gauge. I have not adjusted my curing times after cut, but I have adjusted my timing for un-mold of the loaf and cutting...down to 1 day. Love it.
