Makeup Revolution, Lip Care Trio, 3x8ml

Lovely little gift set (and very useful) from Revolution containing perfectly sized tubes for handbags. The set contains a lip scrub, balm and lightly tinted pink gloss. All were easy to squeeze out, and a little of each goes a long way! I like lip scrubs but some can be too harsh, this one is just right (in my opinion) - just enough ‘grit’ to be a scrub but plenty of hydration with it. The balm is quite thick so you don’t need much. The gloss is a slightly pink ‘just there’ shade and it feels nice too. I did order this for myself as I like scrubs but I did hand over the gloss to my Revolution loving teenage niece. She loved the size and shade so I ordered another for her. It’s currently on offer at £5.60 but I think it’s worth the RRP price too.

The lip trio comes well presented in a cardboard box and all items are as shown in the pictures.First I tested the scrub. With winter and cooler weather my lips get dry and chapped easily. So I applied some scrub with my fingers and... nothing. It felt like just lip balm. Confused I checked I had the correct tube, squeezed out some more and realised that the product had somewhat settled. So you might want to squish the closed tube a little to mix it up and then use it. On my second try the scrub worked as expected and my lips were left soft without any flaky skin. They didn't feel irritated either. Yay! I used my fingers but a toothbrush would work even better.I then applied the lip balm. It's clear without a very strong scent and doesn't feel sticky. It's moisturising and good for preparing your lips for makeup. Or to protect them from the elements. I like to put it on as a mask before going to bed and wake up with lovely, soft lips.The gloss is quite sheer which I prefer when using gloss. It adds a subtle pink hue and white slightly sticky, it's not overly so. It can, of course, be used alone but I think it also looks nice over lipstick.Overall this is a good set and value for money. It would make a cute stocking filler, secret Santa, or small gift anytime.

I didn’t think this set was very good. The lip gloss is sticky, the scrub is not good at all it’s just sticky and with big sugar like lumps in it. Wouldn’t recommend.

I got this for my teen daughterThe set arrived in the branded box shown inside you have 3 lip products, a lip scrub, lip balm and lip gloss these can be used as stand alone or if you want can be used as a step by step treatment.As its cold and winter my daughter used the lip balm straight away as her lips where cracking and chapped, she only need to use a small amount as she said it goes along way, all squeeze out really well with minimal effort. The gloss is nice and shiny she said and stays on her lips really well.My teen loves this and has no issue recommending it more so as it ethically not tested on animals over all she is happy to recommend this item

First impressions of this set were positive, it has really cute packaging which has a black and rose gold marble design. It definitely looks very giftable!Inside are 3 lip products, a lip scrub, lip balm and lip gloss. Each of them can obviously be used individually or you can treat it like a 3 step process which is what I’ve been doing. I apply the scrub first to get any dry or dead skin off and then use the balm to moisturise them. Once that’s fully sunk in I add my lip liner, a bit of lipstick (just personal preference) and the lip gloss on top. The gloss is a nice subtle pink shade so can obviously be worn by itself if you prefer.Overall I’m really pleased with this set, I think it’s good value for money at the current price (£7.79) for what you get so I’d be happy to recommend it! Great as a little Christmas present that looks more expensive than it was!
