If you have a coffee maker over 12 cups this filter is for 14 cups and helps not get any coffee grinds leaking into the coffee.

Love that these are large enough to be folded & used for pour-over coffee. A fraction of the price of pre-folded filters.

We use a 12-cup coffee maker (a Mr. Coffee) and since we brew 12 cups at a time and like strong coffee using regular size filters frequently ended up making a mess with coffee grinds in the carafe or grinds stopping up the basket outflow hole. These are the answer! They're a little large for a 12-cup basket but they still work fine. These 12-15 cup filters are plenty big to keep all of the grinds inside the filter. We will never go back to the regular size filters.

We had bought a 14 cup coffee pot and most filters did not fit because they were too small and we seem to have lots of grounds in our coffee. Tried this and it works perfect on our 14 cup coffee pot.
