Simpler Mandalas with Fancy Flair
I use this product for coloring in for fun as an adult. I had bought Magical Mandalas by the same author previous to buying this book. The worst difference between the two books is that this one has more unused white space in the mandalas. I figured that was because they were squares. Often there are partial lines in the middle of open spaces, which gives it a fancier feel. The designs are on the simpler side, which I appreciate - nothing too complicated or intricate. There are color and pattern ideas on both sides of the front and back covers that use four actual mandalas in the book. I was a little shy of this author's mandala books at first because sometimes they look too pretty to color, but I got over that. Overall, a good book!

One sided, smooth paper, easy tear out, art ok
This arrived WITHOUT Amazon saying DO NO FOLD and mailman folded it into mailbox creasing some of the pages. I will not count off for that. I did set the book in a steamed bathroom, then laid a concrete block on it for a few days. Most pages could be used. However, I personally was not fond of the artwork. Originally, I believed most to be ugly and would have sent it back just for that, even if it had not been damaged. I owe the artist an apology as some turned out nicely.I went ahead as a challenge to see if I could make a picture I didn't like into one I did since Amazon told me to keep the damaged book and they would give me credit. Originally, I would have rated this book a 1 star. Now that I've colored a few, I really liked some of them. There are still a few I do not care for as they are just continuous squiggles or swirls with no obvious patterns making the use of just a few colors very extensive. I prefer smaller designs and not large continuous designs that I can't change colors on.The feature I really enjoyed about this book is the pages are fairly smooth and easier on the tips of markers. Also, the book has a great perforation for very easy tear out. Those 2 features rate one star each. The last star is for for the art itself. Though it was not my personal preference of artwork, about 66% could/can be made to look decent and even nice. However, since I believe 1/3 of the book is just continuous swirl or squiggle art vs obvious patterns or designs that can be followed and planned out, I am taking 2 stars off.

Creative Haven rocks
Almost all of my coloring books are Creative Haven. Those one is detailed but not impossible to color, the sheets are perforated, and it's just a lot of fun!

"Gateway drug" to mandala color and creation! Wonderful!
I love this book for many different reasons. I have refered to this collection of larger lined, and frequently less detailed (than the circular mandala books I also love) offerings as a sort of "gateway drug" and introduction to the world of mandala coloring. Many times I have purchased mandala books as gifts. Many times the intricacy of these books becomes overwhelming to people with no experience coloring mandalas. This book is PERFECT as an introduction to the world and the joy of both coloring and mandala. As said many times, each design has a page to itself. No design on the back side of the page not only let's you worry less about bleedthrough , it also (nearly) insures that you won't be throwing away the "b" half of the designs.I will also say that, as a long time mandala lover, I find myself favoring this book. It might be that I can color them without sharpening my pencils every 8 minutes... It could, just as easily, be that these designs are beautiful, fun to color and don't require the hours of work that can go in to a detailed circular design of similar size. Mostly, I love that these are mandala with a twist.I wouldn't hesitate picking this one up. There is enough detail for the "pros" to enjoy these as a relaxing excersize while being sure that, even if this is your very first mandala coloring book, you will succeed in creating beauty.

Love this book!
This is the book that lead me into loving mandalas! I strongly suggest that you try this if you want something a bit more intricate.I started coloring a year or so go at the suggestion of a dear friend. I became totally disabled in 2000 which led to me having to give up my career. I suffer with pain every day as a result of my disability and keeping my mind occupied helps me to deal with the constant pain. Iโm always seeking new ways to keep myself busy during the day besides reading and coloring has proven to be a wonderful distraction.Over the past year Iโve experimented with types of coloring books and various pencils, pens and markers. I quickly realized how wonderful the Creative Haven books are...the designs are printed one one side, the paper is a nice weight and the pages are perforated. I like to remove the pages which makes it much easier to work on as I can rotate the page to color and not have to worry about smearing the ink. I tend to use either gel pens or brush markers

Nice book.
I really like this artist's style of line art. I love the big bold lines and swirly designs. These are not typical round mandalas but are in a square format. I also like the paper in the Creative Haven books. The pages are single sided and perforated for easy removal. I have many of this artist's books.
