The light is really bright and works very well. I was searching for a light that I could mount over my garage door and provide adequate light when someone approached the house. It does exactly that.Pros:The sensor is strong enough to detect passing cars over 30 feet away.The light has an excellent illumination field.The solar and quick charge capability and is a plus to save on batteries.Cons:The instructions could use improvement, especially when it comes to how to turn the light on/off. The steps are not mentioned in the instructions, it is in a separate picture apart from the main instructions and can be easily missed.The light does not turn completely off, it goes to a dim setting throughout the night. I wanted a light that would have turned off to conserve battery power and act more as a security light to deter unwanted activity. It is not a con if you are looking to illuminate a walkway in the dark.

This is one of the brightest and best built solar lights that I have ever seen. It should be perfect for lighting our stairs on our RV but not certain if the sensitivity of the sensor will be a problem- see below.Pros- Well built, very bright, requires very little exposure to sunlight to be functional, the sensor is very sensitive, the solar charging is quick requiring little sunlight, the battery so far has lasted all night.Cons- The English portion of the instruction manual and what is printed on the carton is almost impossible to understand. The location of the pin hole switch is not well documented- note it is in the upper center of the lense. Once it gets dark the light is either dim or bright so at night the light is always on until the battery runs out, which after four days and nights of testing inside adjacent to a window it hasn't happened. How the light cycles is not clearly explained on the web site and not at all in what I can interpret from the manual. Regrettably the light brightens for no reason so I am concerned what problems this might cause when I mount the light on my RV and use it in some campsites.

It works very well although I've not had it long enough to evaluate weather wear over time. It seems to only have two settings, event hough the instructions describe otherwise. On and off. Comes on then dims at all times but never goes off at night. I prefer the option to come on at night during motion, then go out after 15-30 seconds. Difficult to adjust at night to get the desired functionality as you have to look directly into the light to find the switch. Over all quality seems to be very good. I did expect to get two of them because all other lights ordered of similar design came in two packs. I needed two, so now I'm torn between ordering the two pack form a different vendor with a plastic case, or another one of these for the same price. Quantity was not clear enough....or I was half asleep when I ordered it. Either way, it's definitely a keeper!

I installed this item last week. My God, is it bright? Installation was very easy. The unit is solid aluminum, no plastic. It lite up the entire small front yard. I would say it is equivalent to a 75 watt bulb. The motion sensor is VERY SENSITIVE. We had a heavy wind event and it triggered the light to come on and off for 5 hours. So, the battery ran out around midnight. But, I believe without wind moving trees and bushes, the light would not turn on unneccesarily and will last an entire night. The standby light is very dim, as it should be. I was worried that the LED color would conflict with the 2700 Degree Kelvin warm landscape lighting, but the standby light did not. When the bright motion sensored light turns on, it IS a cooler LED color light (I'd say around 3000 to 3500 Degrees Kelvin), but not offensive. At this price point, I don't think you can go wrong with this light. I am very impressed and would not hesitate this to anyone. I would not install it in a place that gets constant movement of plants and bushes.

Initially I had a problem with this light because I did not have instructions in the box. Actually, amazon had the appropriate instructions if you look and read on their multiple view descriptions prior to adding to cart. The Light "turn on" is a discreet little pin area I had to activate with the end of a paper clip. Once that was done,it worked. It is very bright at 800 lumens and adds what I need as I walk thru my patio. Cwetainly worth the $$.

This is a durable and useful product. However the set-up instructions (to turn the light on and activate the motion detection function of the unit) are useless. I had a difficult time to contact a service representative from the manufacturer in China who provided me with a short, how to video (with no audio). The trick is that the unit must be laid on the solar panel cell side with the light screen side facing you. There is a pin hole (now at the bottom edge and in the middle of that bottom light screen edge) into which you must insert the pin and press the (almost invisible white) switch button inward. The button does not work if the unit is laid on its metal bottom.

This is a very sensitive sensor light that I've come to depend on. I have it mounted to light the porch steps to the backyard because it goes on before the hardwired floodlights do and saves tripping down the stairs when I'm taking the dogs out at night. I do wish however that it turned off when not in use-the continuous on attracts all the insects in the worldUPDATE 2019. I bought this 2017 and shortly after removed the original mount. So for almost two years it’s been sitting on the ground in the rain and snow and it still works reliably. It’s extraordinarily sensitve to motion and brightens at the slightest move.

I tried several solar led lights and this is truly the best one. It's sleek and well buit out of metal and not cheap plastic. Most importantly, it is bright and has held up to rain. My other lights died after light rain showers. The sensor has a broad range and is appropriately sensitive.UPATE: After a year and a half this light is still working! Great product with excellent modern design and a quality materials.
