I've had the xs for a while now and just received the s. I got the s as a travel bag as the XS is just slightly too small for more than a day or two away.The xs is the perfect work/gym bag - big enough for a full set of gym gear (shoes, clothes, bottle) and a laptop (in a hard case because there are no internal compartments).The S is quite a bit bigger than it looks from the product shots and a lot bigger than the xs. Bear in mind that the largest sizes of these bags are enormous so small isn't that small. The S will likely suit most people for a 3-4 days away, the XS for a night as a day bag.I love the design of these bags after initially thinking they were kind of goofy looking. They wear well and stand up to being thrown about, scuffed, and rained on. The large opening means you can get to anything easily. They have handles all over them and sturdy loops to attach stuff to.One thing I have noticed with the XS is that the shoulder straps slip while wearing - the larger buckles supporting the top of the should straps let the straps slip through little by little. This could probably be fixed with a couple of safety pins or something but it's not really a problem since I'm not wearing it on my shoulders for more than 30 or 40 mins at a time.

Premessa: ho avuto modo di provare diversi borsoni da viaggio di marche blasonate e ognuno, come questo della North Face, presenta pro e contro. A mio avviso non esiste la borsa perfetta ma quella che risponde al meglio a "quasi tutte" le nostre esigenze.Il borsone Base Camp non ha bisogno di presentazioni, come recita lo slogan "E' stato ovunque tu voglia andare", mi limiterò così ad elencare quello che mi piace e non piace del prodotto.PRO:-La taglia S (53 Cm X 32,5 Cm X 32,5 Cm), anche se non perfettamente conforme alle dimensioni massime dell'UE, solitamente viene accettata come bagaglio a mano dalle compagnie aeree (io non ho avuto mai problemi).-Molto spazioso e lo spazio all'interno è sfruttabile fino in fondo.-Estremamente resistente all'acqua e all'usura (realizzato in tessuto laminato TPE 1000D)-Il tessuto laminato con il quale è realizzato lo rendo più rigido di altri modelli (questo è un pro quando non è a pieno carico)-Gli spallacci imbottiti sono comodi anche a pieno carico-Le quattro cinghie di compressione sono utili per ridurre le dimensioni del borsone-Le cerniere utilizzate sono di ottima qualità (YKK) e permettono di chiudere il borsone mediante un lucchetto TSA-E' dotato di borsa in rete a cubo utile per trasportarlo quando viene chiuso-E' dotato di una comoda tasca trasparente e resistente all'acqua nella parte superiore, per inserire un'etichetta identificativa in caso di smarrimento del borsone.CONTRO:-Ha solo una tasca laterale e una superiore a rete, necessita quindi di organizzatori a cubo e dry sack per vestiti e attrezzatura. Richiede inoltre custodie protettive per eventuali laptop, tablet ecc,-L'apertura principale ha la zip della cerniera un pò dura e non sempre scorre facilmente.-L'apertura a D non è la miglior soluzione per accedere al contenuto come accade per le aperture ad U-Il tessuto laminato con il quale è realizzato lo rendo più rigido di altri modelli (questo è un contro quando occorre riporlo nella borsa di trasporto)-Indossandolo sulle spalle in estate fa sudare poiché non ha lo schienale in tessuto traspirante.

All good. Strong and sturdy and durable ... but the material is excessively thick for my use. If you are dragging these behind a donkey in the mountains then ok, but I would prefer a more flexible and lighter material.
