Square Hand Warmer-Black

To begin with, I thought I was getting six of the hand warmers, because the picture features six. I bought these (or rather this) for my 84-year old mother, who is ALWAYS cold, especially her hands. I have a couple of the large helio products, but they are rather bulky and difficult to "boil in a pot of water" for 15 minutes...a detail left out at the show where I bought them. They get and stay very hot...too hot for my mom. These small hand warmers seemed to be just the ticket. I was very excited when UPS delivered my package a couple hours ago and quickly unwrapped the single warmer. Oh well, it was just going to suffice until I could purchase more. I snapped the disc and the warmer heated up right away, as expected. I gave it to my mother, and she was very pleased with it. I left the house for about 30 minutes and, when I got home, my mom said the warmer wasn't hot any longer. I took it from her and, much to my surprise and dismay, she was right. it was barely warm. I thought about returning it, but I take care of my two elderly parents, work full time, and take classes. It's just not worth the bother.
