Very prescriptive in the series
If you read one story in this book, you’ve basically read them all. They are very much the same. It’s about a wealthy Wyoming man who’s been humiliated or used by a woman and therefore has trust issues. Then the fair maiden comes along taking him by surprise. Then follows misunderstandings, some chaos, and voila, they fall in love. There’s nothing new about it. But in this case Merrie, our heroine, has an unusual propensity for animals. That’s the redeeming bit of this one.

Values
I like that the book has all of the romance you want and still upholds values. It not just all about sex. I look forward to reading all of the books in the series.

Wyoming Brave- Merrie's Story, Started in Defender- Ends in Wyoming Brave!
I am a huge fan of Diana Palmer so when I saw Wyoming Brave the 6th book in the series, was like a second book of her book Defender, I just had to read it.In this book we find out the fate of Isabel's sister, Merrie. After her father killed a man's mother and even though he dropped dead of a heart attack, hat man pt a hit out on his youngest daughter (Merrie). A friend of Merrie's decided to bring her to his family's ranch in Wyoming to keep her safe as his brother Ren Colter was extremely wealthy and had the most advanced technology to keep his ranch and animals safe. When she meets Ren Colter she is immediately shy of him as he is hard as stone! She had no way of knowing that he had gone through a bad break up months before and he did not trust any women. There is a lot of angst and scary moments, and the plot twists and turns so you won't see what comes. After a hair raising event, and Merrie lays in hospital, will Ren Colter realize what he is bout to never have a chance of having ever again? Read this book and find out!If you are a fan of Diana and her books, you will get to see some of her characters from the Long Tall Texan series, and it is nice to see how she blended both series together! I loved this book!I gave this book 5*****stars and can't wait for my next Diana Palmer read! She was my first romance author back in the 80's, and I still read and buy all her books!

Predictable but Okay Read
FINAL DECISION: A typical Palmer romance with an experienced hero who misjudges the sweet innocent heroine and then regrets it. I liked this book but it doesn't elevate Palmer's formula but rather stays strictly within its boundaries.THE STORY: Ren Colter has closed himself off after his fiancee's betrayal. Everyone is therefore surprised -- even Ren -- that he allows Meredith Grayling to stay at his ranch. Meredith is hiding from a stalker. Nervous and afraid, Meredith is dealing not only with her current threat but past abuse as well. The alpha male feels his protective instincts go in overdrive over the innocent Meredith and her gentleness might soothe Ren's battered soul.OPINION: I've read Palmer's books for over thirty years. Her readers know that she has a formula for her books. Her characters often -- and almost always in recent years -- live in small western towns. There is usually an experienced but romantically betrayed man who meets up with an inexperienced woman. He mistakes her for experienced, treats her poorly, finds out the truth and then spends the rest of the book groveling.I know what I'm getting in one of her novels and sometimes the characters make the story fantastic. This book was just okay for me. The characters were nice -- and even the hero wasn't too jerky -- but I didn't feel that the characters expanded the formula nor were they so compelling that I thought -- "wow! I'm like to read this again".Enjoyable for the time I spent reading it and ultimately forgettable as a book.WORTH MENTIONING: This book actually is a crossover book with Palmer's Long, Tall Texans series with appearance by characters from that series. Seeing characters that I'veCONNECTED BOOKS: WYOMING BRAVE is the sixth book in the Wyoming Men series. It can be read as a standalone although pretty much all of Palmer's books are connected these days with characters appearing from different books and series. This book is most closely connected with DEFENDER.STAR RATING: I give this book 3 stars.

I absolutely love this book the story line was so good. Ren was such a caring soul whose outlook on life got damaged and Merrie was and angel that lead him back to life even tho she had a hard life herself .

Another great Diana Palmer book.
I have been a long-time fan of Diana Palmer. Recently I read Defender from the Long Tall Texan Series. It was the story of the story of Isabelle and Paul Fiore and a teenaged Merrie and their despicable, evil, controlling father, Darwin Grayling. I enjoyed it, and when I came across Wyoming Brave and realized that it was Merrie’s story, I quickly downloaded it.This is another “second chance” book—Ren Coltor is a bitter, jaded man, fresh out of a painful breakup. His brother brings Merrie Grayling to his ranch, where he knows that she will be safe until the killer that has been hired to fulfill his contract on her is caught.Merrie is shy and afraid—put off by Ren’s cold attitude toward her. Ren is drawn to protect her, even though he believes she is someone else’s woman.Theres lot's of misunderstanding, fear, suspense and hot lovin to go around here. Another great book for Diana Palmer fans.

I want to be a cowboy's sweetheart
I can't help it. I love Diana Palmers cowboys. I know, I know they are as predicable as the sun in the morning and the moon at night the way they wear their grey slacks over their powerful thighs, crush their cigs under their boot heels and flash their silver (sub in grey, green, black, brown, hazel, blue) eyes, but I can't help it. I'm a sucker for this guy. These stories pretty much are the same over and over again but I will keep buying them over and over again because I love this guy. I love his hawk-like nose or...his adonis like beauty... his gruff exterior and his ice cold heart that is always melted. There is nothing surprising here, but that's not why we love her books. We love them because we can count on these characters to deliver the story that we want.

Ok read
I was a bit surprised by all the really strong reviews. The first few chapters are really repetitive, the heroine tells the hero and thir housekeeper and herself about her past so many times: I never dated, daddy wouldn't let me out, I never kissed a boy, etc.He doesn't believe her, fine, but then later when her brother in law says the same thing he acts surprised like he had no idea? Same thing with the physical abuse she suffered. He is such an ass at first, too, I can't believe she'd be attracted to him physically considering her background.Honestly I liked her peripheral relationships, like with Tony, more than her relationship with Ren.Also, after he was so terrible to her, she just trusts him right away when he shows up again? There are flawed heroes, I get that, but she's too blind to his faults to be believable.

Great story
I enjoyed this story. I love the excitement and the drama that it contains. I enjoy how the new characters story contains connections to characters from other stories. The only thing I found unnecessary is the repeating of Merrie’s story with her father. It was mentioned a few times and I think a couple of them were not necessary. I do love Diana Palmers book. I have read many

Loved it
I have read and have all the Diana Palmer's books and they only get better and better!I really enjoyed the story of Ren and Mereadith. He is a rich rancher 14 years her senior. He is distrustful of her when his brother brings her to the ranch. She is very innocent 22 years old who never been kiss due to a lunatic father who keep his 2 daughters under lock and key.Amazing story and I highly recommend it
