I purchased this tape to place on the legs of my telescope tripod so they could be seen in the dark and thus avoid tripping on them while observing. I cleaned the bottom of each tripod leg with solvent and applied a single wrap of tape to each leg. I then left the tripod outside in the sun to 'charge up' all afternoon while I was busy working on a home improvement project. As dusk approached, I set up my telescope. Since it is July when I am writing this, and I had to wait for summer darkness, I was outside observing from 9:00PM until after 1:00AM, and the tape was still glowing very brightly as I was putting my toys away in the wee hours of the morning. Based on its performance, I expect that it will work very well in winter when I am observing for longer hours due to the earlier darkness. I couldn't be happier with the performance of this tape for the purpose I used it for, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants to use it to illuminate trip hazards in a dark environment, especially amateur astronomers. I am now thinking about using it to create labels for some of my astronomy gear by using a black marker on the tape to make labels which can be easily read in the dark. It's nice to get a product which works really well!

I have to say, I love this stuff!! I got it about a week ago and have been having fun sitting the roll of tape here and there, just to see how much it would glow. I bought it to put spots on my mobility scooter so I would not trip on it in the dark. It works great for that. It also works great for marking the hallway and near the tub. I am night blind, but can see these nice green strips or dots (I have cut the shapes out using darning scissors). I can see myself keeping a roll of this tape around always. It is not only fun (at least for this silly woman) but useful. I have not yet dunked it in water to test the waterproof aspect, but everything else about this tape impresses me.

It initially glows very brightly especially if charged with blue-rich light like sunlight or LED flashlight.The brightness decreases pretty fast at first till it's pretty dim after a few minutes, but it does continue to glow dimly for a very long time.I just did a test where I had it in a book for 24 hours and went into a dark room and opened it up - I could still see it faintly glowing.To put some perspective to the topic, I charged a 1x5" strip up with a bright LED flashlight for 1 second per inch (sliding the tape in front of the light) then I could read a book for about 10 minutes by holding the tape right by the page, but after 10 minutes it was getting too dim to easily read by.

Glow lasts for hours, adhesive good.Downside for us - we used on cement steps, it has glossy finish so when wet, very slippery, someone fell.Better for different use than on steps

We got this for our outside deck stairs. We've had it on for about a week and so far it's been perfect. We don't yet know how well it will last through various kinds of weather, but it went on easily and is adhering well to the painted wood (no ends curling up, bubbles, etc.). It's bright during the day and reflective at night. So far we are very pleased with the product.

This tape doesn't hold luminescence for even an hour let alone 8 hrs as claimed. waste of money

So far so bright with this tape. I had some previous glow in the dark tape from, but I think it was getting old. The tape has stuck to the surfaces no problem and no peeling. The tape is bright enough for me at night to see my light switches and the sides of nightstands. Overall, I am very happy with this product.

It glows. Its not super bright and longlasting, id say those star plastic stickers you get at a 99 cents store glow better. But it DOES the job. Thing is, stick it somewhere and if you peel it that same day its not too bad but wait a week and its gonna be coming off in flakes and leaving horrible residue behind! Hope you have some goo gone!
