Cosmo F965 36 in. Range

I was worried about ordering an appliance from Amazon. I live rural and it costs a lot of money to either drive over an hour to a big box store and move an appliance myself or to have it delivered. Amazon had a local carrier pick it up. He was alone and the oven fell and dented in front of us. Amazon offered a discount and we were able to do some repairs on it so you cannot tell unless you know where to look. The gas company made sure everything was functional and it works great. I love that I get the best of both worlds with gas stovetop and electric oven. This has a beautiful look at a fraction of the cost of other 36" ovens. It doesn't have wifi or all of the crazy new features but I like that. It is an attractive functional oven with everything you need and fewer gadgets to break later down the line. We did a lot of research and this was the best price for the look and functionality on the market.

Better quality than the market leaders, poor man's Viking range. Caution, the gas jets must be correct for the fuel you use or the burners will not function correctly!

It was delivered on a pallet. The packaging protected it well. It weighs approx. 200lbs. We removed it from the pallet, but left it in the box until it was in the kitchen to avoid scratching it. The middle wok burner puts out a lot of heat. Anxious to try it. On startup the oven did smoke a little, so turn on your vent hood before opening the oven door for the first time. Heard some complaints about there not being a display of the current oven temp. The oven temperature dial has a light on it that acts like a thermostat. You can set the oven to say 350, as it’s preheating you can turn the dial down. When the light goes off, it gives you a good idea of what the oven temp is currently at. The burners all seem well adjusted from the factory. The instruction manual does tell you how to adjust them if needed. We are happy with it. Love the commercial look. Can’t get the pics to flip, but you get the idea.

This oven is a piece of a junk. I've owned it since June 2017. The oven part of the appliance is electric and has stopped working multiple times. The wires that attach to the back of the oven were both melted and charred, which caused it to no longer heat up. You could even smell the burning when cooking.... After nearly five months of emails with COSMO and the warranty company they use to "service" the oven, they basically tell you, you have to hire someone to tell you what's wrong with it and then tell us...we promise to reimburse you. The service company that I hired to fix the oven even had the audacity to get on the phone with their buddies and curse and yell about how big of a POS this oven was. While I was standing right there.... After a long period, I was able to get the warranty/oven company to send me the parts for the oven and had to remind them to reimburse me for the service calls a few times. After two weeks, the same problem occurred and it stopped working again. I sent yet ANOTHER email more than a month ago for them, furious over the situation and I got the same canned response, in which I haven't heard anything since. I believe they are trying to wait out the warranty period which ends in June 2019. Then, I'll have a dead oven. BUYER BEWARE. It looks nice but just buy the Viking.

For My recent kitchen redo, Cosmo is Good value for the price on 36 inch stove. Ordered it on a Friday, delivered on Sunday morning by truck, great delivery guys ! Only delivered to driveway but it's very light compared to a viking or wolf stove, so a simple hand truck or dolly makes it easy to move by one person. I think it's a good option to the very expensive brand s Viking / Wolf counterpart s if u need a 36 inch that are hard to get these days. My plan is to buy a second Cosmo stove as a backup in event of failure. These days a service call is $500. One note, a 240 volt 40 amp line is required for the oven part. Cooktop is natural gas. Hope this helps Update after almost 5 years. For some reason burners fall out of adjustment and burn like a candle even after multiple cleaning s, burners are hard to locate so opted to replace with a locally sourced Frigidaire.

I couldn't wait to use my new Cosmo Duel Fuel Range until the remodel was finished so I set it up temporarily until the work starts. The oven doesn't heat up the kitchen like most others do. I bake bread at 450 degrees, which can heat a kitchen up very quickly when you think about the time it takes for an oven to get to 450 and then the addition of about 25 minutes more to heat the oven stone, then another 30 minutes to bake the bread. Well this oven has a very heavy door so that little heat escapes, plus it has an internal fan that somehow cools the inside of it as soon as the oven is turned off. For your safety, know that when you open any oven door you are going to get a blast of hot air that is whatever temperature the oven is set at. So make sure to turn your head away when you open the door. And know that your Cosmo's oven fan will cool it down very quickly after it is turned off. A great feature!

I purchased this oven recently and it was simple to install. So far I'm really satisfied. Love the design, though I did replace the handle to match the rest of my appliances. The burners ignite quickly and deliver consistent heat, which I appreciate. Haven't run into any issues the few times I've used the oven. I will update this review if I do run into any issues.
