Febco905-052 765 Check Valve Assembly Repair Kit, 1"-1 1/4",white

It pays to get Febco replacement parts. When my popper and topper erupted, I examined all the bits and pieces in my backflow preventer and noticed that these parts were also very worn, probably original parts. After I replaced the check valve assembly and popper and topper with Febco parts, my unit was drip free. Do not bother with off market parts from the hardware store, get Febco parts, you will be glad you did. The dollar you might save isn’t worth having to revisit the problem any time soon.

Expensive for what it is (a rubber gasket , spring, and about a nickel worth of plastic), but seemed to be the least expensive source I could find. Exact match to what it replaced. In the future, I will try to drain my sprinkler system before the fall freeze, and avoid the need to buy this repair part !

This was the final piece to fix my system. Febco isn’t the only charging high prices for their parts, other manufacturers do too. High prices for a piece of plastic, but it is essential to get it up and running. System is working great now though.

Amazingly simple - don't bother with a plumber, a ten year old can install.
