That means it doesn’t kick up as much dust, which helps keep their noses from getting irritated. Timothy hay is a bit rougher with more stems and seed heads, and that can make more dust when they eat it. For bunnies with sensitive sinuses, orchard grass is just easier on them. They like the taste too—it’s sweeter and not as strong-smelling.
