How much of this product should I apply to a newly transplanted tree? It came from the nursery in a container and has a 2.5" diameter trunk.

You need to mix up enough solution to saturate the area around the tree. As a minimum, I would match the volume of the container it came in from the nursery. If it was in a 3 gallon container, I would mix up 3 gallons of solution and pour it all around the newly planted tree. I've had great success with this product on mostly, newly planted or transplanted vegetables.
