I have a 26" waist and the small size was just right. Not too small and not too big to where there was a lot of extra belt wrapped around me.

I like this belt, a nice weight black leather w/a black buckle that blends in with my dark jeans. I’ve worn it 3 days and the physical wear near the buckle is minor so far, a little bending of the heavy leather strap, but acceptable and disappears when I roll it up for storage. It’s not a dress belt by any means but could do in a pinch. I ordered my exact waist size and must wear it on the last hole after tucking my shirt in my jeans which is fine by me as it gives me a quick indication of my weight loss progress. Should I ever get to the last hole, I can adjust this belt in two ways: 1- remove the screw holding the belt to the buckle, punch a new hole with hand gadget that comes with the belt, and reattach the belt OR 2 - just punch a new hole in the belt (which my husband has already done with two of his belts).
