It works well enough for smaller projects, but dont expect to be able to weld anything over 0.15mm thickness. My project with 32700 cells and .2mm nickel strips, the welds just pop right off no matter what level of current I set it to.

I have had this unit for a few weeks now, and am not impressed with it. The quality seems good, but the spot welds are very weak, Even on it's maximum setting. I often need to repeat the same weld to ensure it will work properly. The fact it has a lithium polymer battery concerns me after several other amazon-purchased items have had failed, swelled lipo cells. I wanted to return it shortly after I got it, but didn't have the chance. I still try to use it when needed, though I will replace the battery with a li-on when that time comes. Pros: Relatively easy to use, instructions are understandable. Cons: welding power is weak, contains lipo battery, buttons are not labeled.

UPDATE: I received the instructions in English, so have updated my review!!Shipped fast, but not able to use it as the only instructions sent are in Chinese. I live in the US. There are several inputs, buttons, lights and displays and I’m a beginner so instructions are needed. Plus the instructions in Chinese are somewhat detailed so I’m guessing I need them…. I’ve asked the seller to provide instructions and will update my review if I receive them.

Some reviews said it's a weak welder but I see the opposite!!I spot weld my batteries back 18650's at mid setting 3 led's and the welder melted the nickel sheetI recommend this little monster

I would give it 5 stars but it does good job only for 0.15mm
