I recently swapped out the shell on my PC Engine with a clear one and needed a 4.5mm gamebit screwdriver for the job. These did a good job in removing the screws, but when it came to inserting them, it felt like the little teeth just were not long enough to get a good grip on the screw. I was unable to fully insert the screws before the screwdriver just started rotating around the screw (and stripping it). It would probably be fine if low rotation force is needed, but if something takes some effort, this may not be the right set.

There’s not much to say, but no news is good news. The drivers are of quality, and I definitely was able to turn Nintendo and sega screws with it. It’s tough, put proper pressure while it’s in place, and be careful not to strip screws. Great bang for buck, fit nicely in a variety of tool boxes, I can’t complain. It came complete in a plastic bag within packaging.

These tools 0.45 and 0.38 are just right for repairing game systems. The 03.38 driver opened my nes cartridges and game boy cartridges. Important to remember, the screws are small and you need to be gentle and seat the tool level with the screw heads when removing and tightening them, kind of like watch repair. Never forced. The bits fit snugly to screws so force will strip or break them. I like these because they have handles. The length is enough to grip spin screw in place. Use your fingers to spin tight so you feel the screws bottom out to close cartridge. I like good hand tools not bits that can get lost.

They fit all of the consoles/controllers that had those specific screw designs (the inner screws were various sizes of phillips type). The only time these 2 were used were when opening the outer shell of either the console or controller, but it's impossible to open any other way without breaking the shell and I couldn't this type of driver anywhere locally. I looked at part stores in 3 cities, a retro game store we have locally, huge box chain stores, Harbor Freight and nothing. So I just purchased and had shipped.Definitely recommend these if doing any kind of console repairs or cleaning.
