JJ Cale is under rated. All his albums are well produced

Cd collection was brand new.

I will repeat what others have written here.... this and Anthology are the only remastered-for-CD versions of JJ Cale's records. Maybe someday there will be remasters of his entire catalog, but don't hold your breath.BUY THIS CD and enjoy sound clarity like you've never heard of this master songwriter and musician's best works. My only disappointment is that the tune "Boilin Pot'" (from the album "5") was not included. There are however several alternate takes and three unreleased live versions. For me, those alone are worth the purchase price.I was privileged to hear Mr. Cale perform live three times over the years. The final time in Asheville NC he spoke with me following the performance and shook my hand. And Rocky Frisco gave me his set list.... on Holiday Inn stationery no less!

If you really like JJ Cale, I would seriously suggest just buying a bunch of his albums (CD's) for about the same price as this CD. On the other hand, some of these songs don't appear to be available on most of his albums, so go figure. I found 4 songs that I put on my ipod that I didn't have from other albums that I have of his. The sound of the CD is pretty good; clear, and good quality.

JJ Cale is a maestro. American at it's finest. This is really good place to either start your Cale collection or something on Digital format to add to the vinyl collection for when your on the go. Quality is good up n' down. A lot of great songs. Most excellent!

As other reviewers have noted this EU CD set made in Germany comes with vastly improved sound quality to that on  Anyway The Wind Blows: The Anthology by Cale, J.J. (1997) Audio CD  and on the individual Mercury CDs. While short on detail, this 2006 release has a very balanced song selection. Having recently watched the Paradise studio DVD  In Session at Paradise Studio  and his tour DVD  J.J. Cale - To Tulsa And Back: On Tour With JJ Cale  the order of JJ's songs can sometimes induce a state of somnolence but this set gets the balance just right - and the sound clarity may help with this. This is the one set of JJ to own. Could've been better with a more detailed booklet - but that really doesn't detract - a set to lift up the spirits.

JJCale changed everyone who fell into his sound....the music world is better for his chapter in the show....this collection offers a nice introduction to his craft...now get each album....perhaps some headphones and enjoy the legend....

Album exceptionnel. JJ Cale était un artiste hors du commun. Sa musique est si apaisante. On ne peut s'en détacher.

Awesome collection of material from a great guitarist. I'm not a fan of the color chosen for the vinyl but they are 180gm and feel nice and thick. Not flimsy thin stuff.I'll be spending many an evening listening to this lovely collection. A must have for both blues and rock aficionados.

Diese LP Box wäre auch mehr Geld wert. Der Amazon Boote kam rechtzeitig noch am gleichen Tag um 20:30 Uhr (ein Dank an alle diese fleißigen Helden). SElten war ich so gespannt auf ein Produkt. Also voller Freude sorgsam die Verpackung geöffnet die nicht besser sein könnte. Außßenkarton, Innenkarton, Polster aus Papier. Null Plastik, so soll es sein. Zur LP selber, toll in einer Plastikhülle die zum permanten Aufheben bestimmt ist. So steht das Werk auch in 10 Jahren noch 1a da. Die Innenhüllen sind gepolstert und der LP Schuber ist von extrem guten Qualität. Nun zum WEsentlichen, zu den Platten selber. Ich habe alle 3 genau angesehen und nicht einen Kratzer entdeckt, noch nicht einmal eine staatische Aufladung war da. Auf dem Plattenteller lagen alle so eben wie ich es selten sah Vergessen die Befürchtung das es wieder Pfannkuchen sind die die Nadel zum Hüpfen bringen. Der Klang auf meiner High End Anlage war sehr warm, weich detailreich und fein gezeichnet in Höhen und Bässen. So muss eine LP klingen. Ich kann nicht sagen, dass das goldene Vinyl stört, im Gegenteil es isct ein echter Hingucker. Und so werden diese 3 LP wohl die nächsten Tage meine Ohren erfreuen und das Erlebnis Platte ganz nach oben bringen. Zur Musik selber sage ich hier nichts, wozu auch, eben JJ Cale. Ich gebe hier die glasklarste Empfehlung ever. Die Pressungen sind auf 3000 begrenzt und numeriert. Also nicht zögern. Ich hätte auch 6 Sterne geben können, wenn möglich. Danke an die Macher und weiter so.
