A Satisfying Tool for Tissue Work
Big enough to allow enough leverage to get into high hamstrings & inner quad while sitting on it and rolling around on the floor, but maybe a little too big to REALLY get INTO high hamstrings. Smaller balls can get deeper, but leverage is challenging - I always end up straddling the ball on a box when one is available. Super firm, doesn't compress when I'm sitting on it. I'm happy to have this tool in my soft tissue work bag.

ball and it is better at getting calves
Ball is just a little too big to get into most trigger points. It is more equivalent to a pilates foam roller size wise. I have the 5in. ball and it is better at getting calves, I.T. bands, quads, etc. I am female, 5'6" Good product, just a little big for my needs.

It really does work
I purchased this because stretching and using a lacrosse ball weren't enough to help my back muscles. This ball works VERY well. The only issue for me is how big it is. I want to lay on the floor to massage my back muscles and you can't really do that easily with this ball. I use it against the wall and just end up doing a million squats to sufficiently massage my back. It does help though, and I will continue to use it.

Go stretching and toning device.
I use it to stretch my knees and thighs and to stretch my back. Works fine. Also use it in the small of the back.

Great for stretching, cracking my back
I used to go to the chiropractor for back pain and discomfort. One of the things he did was to ball up a fist under my upper back and then push down on my chest to stretch and crack my back. I bought this ball as an at-home analog for his treatment.I lay on this and roll it up and down by back, along or next to my spine. The ball is very firm so it is easy to put too much weight on it and cause even more pain in my back. However, once I figured out how to work with this ball, shifting and applying my weight properly, this ball became a life saver. It stretches out my back, relieves back pain and I can get a ton of cracks out of it. Very happy with this purchase. I forsee a long and profitable relationship with it for years to come.

well it seemed great the first time i used it
then I went to use it a second time but it was split in two. this foam ball could be great if it was one piece. its not though its two halves glued together which delaminate. I recommend just getting a lacrosse ball. much more effective.

Good for rolling out the kinks
Good size and very firm, with small knobby texture that doesn't hurt your skin when you use it. Learning just how to position it takes a bit of coordination and balance -- but it does help those tight spots!

Good, but not great.
Love the Orb products - I like the smaller version better for getting into active tight spots and working through my mobility stuff. This is good for beginners and people with chronic pain.

Excellent !
Excellent pour un massage en profondeur. Très ferme. Le revêtement permet de rouler sur à peu près toutes les surfaces.Excellent for deep massage. Very firm. The coating allows driving on almost any surface.

Good but did not last well
Although more painful than a standard roller, I found the orb really good for working into troublesome muscle areas. It's also light and reasonably discreet to store. However, after a year of use (maybe 15-20 minutes, 2-3 times a week) my orb split in two, which was disappointing....Don't know if it was a design flaw or they just aren't built to last. Hence 3 stars.

just fine for the price
good size, fair material not too spiky. it is just right for gentle massage of soles and tights.

It is what it is
Dense enough and large enough to replace the foam roller in areas such as the quads and glutes. Allows you to work in all direction without having to reposition the tool like a foam roller.Small enough to get deep than a medicine ball as well.Pretty much what I expected
