Outbreak: Undead Second Edition Starter Kit (HB1005) Perfect Paperback – December 1, 2015

It's a lot of rules and takes some learning to figure it out. But with practice and patience, it can be reeeeally fun.I do wish it came with more cards, you sort of get a bare minimum 2 decks of items/locations/Enemies etc. Very bare bones and the rest you have to make your own. All items are listed in the rulebook of course, but it's a major pain having to constantly refer back to it for info. I had to make a lot of my own reference cards with a notepad in order to help with this. I also had to make my own DM screen since the one they offer on their site is 30 bucks, and not included in this kit.I'd have to say that was my only major gripe. I would've preferred more cards to work with to help out. You only get one pistol card for dang sake! LolThat being said, me and my friends still have a good time playing, so hopefully more decks/components will come out in the future to add on to the game. Given that this is just the "starter kit" I'm sure that's probably gonna happen.

There is alot of fetal in the game and plenty of source material. Imho, the skill rules are skewed weak. An Olympian athlete has a very low %chance to drag someone, using the rules as is. My game group and I are working on son house rule tweaks to see if it will work out. Hope so, concept is nice, mechanics need work.

This game is overly complicated and practically unplayable. I organized an entire game session and wrote a story for me and my players to create our characters using the SPEW system and was blown away by how poorly the rule book was written and how completely and utterly hopeless creating your own character would become. Shameful game making. Nothing should be that complicated. The game should have released as a beta and/or notified customers that the game was a work in progress. Severely disappointed.

I never get the game, it suppose to be my son's Christmas gift. That's the only thing he asked for Christmas. So sad
