Thorogood Infinity FD Series 7” Waterproof Hunting and Hiking Boots for Men with Full-Grain Leather, 400g Insulaiton, and Anti-Fatigue Traction Outsole

When I first tried these on I went to tighten them and the tiny strip of leather that holds the laces in place snapped (see picture). It was not a good start. So, I messaged both the original seller (Right Foot Shoes) and Throrogood explaining the situation and the picture. I received an email back from Right Foot Shoes indicating they would offer a refund of half the price. However, I then receieved an email back from Thorogood and they stated that we would need to send the boots back to the original seller so that the original seller can get the boots to Throgood for inspection. I forwarded this email to Right Foot Shoes and in return I just got an email showing a full refund, which did go through. So, while it wasn't quite what I expected, I am fine with keeping free boots.Besides all that, I have been wearing the boots and they have been excellent. While I haven't taken them on a very long hike, they have been comfortable for short 2-3 mile walks/hikes while only feeling a bit on the heavy side. I also got them as a motorcycle riding boot and they have been performing fairly well.The toe box is quite large, and so fitting the front part of the boot under the gear shifter was difficult at first but I am getting used to it. It also seems pretty sturdy and has not caved in despite multiple rides and lots of shifting.The waterproofing of these boots have been fantastic, and I have been happy with being able to traverse flowing water that reached the top of the toe box without having any water inside.The laces and lace hooks feel sturdy and satisfying to use and are able to be tucked within themselves to avoid flapping around (while on the motorcycle).Overall, really great boots.

I use this boot when I work on hiking trails. In that application it has been very good. So far it seems to be very well built, offering superior protection and support. I have been using it building a trail section through steep rocky terrain where water flows. The soles give very good traction, the boots have been waterproof while I have been working in streams, and my feet and ankles have been very well protected when I'm climbing through rocky stream beds. However, the boots are quite heavy and somewhat stiff, as would be expected of a boot that offers so much protection, so they would not be my choice for simply hiking. My impression after the first few weeks of nearly daily use is that they are very well-made boots for times when you want your feet to stay warm and dry and feel like they're in a fortress, which is exactly what I want when I'm building trails. They are more like a high-quality hybrid work boot and hiking boot than they are an ordinary hiking boot, with the plusses and minuses you'd expect.

Would buy them again , and might cause we all know the styles change and if they feel good on your feet why not , and I did buy a pair of the zip sided wellingtons really like these also , always wanted a pair , but with an artificial leg, and the foot not bending like a normal foot , the zipper is great , a little new to a slip on boot always had lace up boots , but this boot is nice made and feels good on the real foot

Very comfortable boots. I wear a 10 in tennis shoes, got a 9.5 in these and I could probably still go a half size down. They could get pretty warm in hot weather so make sure you get the uninsulated ones if you're in a warm area. Overall very happy with my purchase.
