Aside from picture showing hose connectors and the item coming with NPT fittings. I am unable to unscrew the filter. Going to try clamping it down for more leverage to see if it will unscrew. Item should come with an o-ring I hope. So it should have been easy to unscrew. If I am unable to unscrew filter I will be returning item. Will update post with more info.Updating post; was able to unscrew filter. Will add silicone past to threads. Look like all is designed well. Changed rating from 3 stars to 5.

It is a good size, which I like a lit. I was under the impression there was also a spinner on the inside to help clear off sides, but that doesn't happen. The spin down valve is super tiny. I was hoping for bigger, to add the hose to a permanent drain. I may be able to adjust this somehow in the future, but overall, it works and I'm happy with it.
