nice quality product
I bought a buckwheat hull pillow in 2018. It has served me well but the hulls break down over time. This was more than enough fill to completely empty and refill my pillow. The hulls were well packed, there was no spillage in the box. The product is very clean with very little by-product such as straw and twigs. Hopefully I'll get another 7 years of use from my pillow.

Sweet dreams!
I Love this product. I bought a zippered pillow protector, dumped the 5 lb bag in it and absolutely love the pillow. Supports my neck, which I wanted. I plan to purchase more 5lb bags for more pillows (gifts). There were black specks that appeared to be plant material amongst the hulls, but i didnt inspect nor pick them out...im not prepping beans for soup here!! Just saying it's not 100% Totally clean, which may be an issue for a very few. This is a great product, made a fantastic pillow, and I will reorder from them.Order arrived sooner than expected, a big plus!

Great value and good product but bag came broken
This is the best deal out there for millet hulls. They seem good, clean, and comfy. They do have that vegetable oil smell bit it doesn't bother me cause I ways add lavender to it. And it's not a bad smell like other said. The only.issue is the bag was busted before shipping and it was still sent to me. I know this because it was out into two Amazon marked bags over the original bag which had a bunch of escaped hulls.

Millet husk is a good filling
I like millet husk in pillows, especially my neck pillows. It shifts more easily than buckwheat husk. I made a new pillow cover and ordered this to go into an inner lining. There was too much static to pour it out. A friend advised freezing the bag first. It worked great and I'm enjoying my new pillow.

Fabulous!
I have had two millet pillows for over ten years. They are pretty pricey and one needed to be replaced. You can imagine my absolute joy when I discovered that I could buy a 5 lb bag of organic millet seeds for less than 1/2 half the price of two new pillows. I emptied the old millet out, washed the inner cases, refilled them and Voila! two new pillows. I love millet pillows as they are so easily adjustable and support my head and neck with great flexibility and support. Both my partner and I had suffered neck problems which disappeared after finding this type pillow. As an added bonus, millet pillows are not attractive to dust mites. I would highly recommend these millet hulls for a variety of pillows and other uses.

Good for pillows
The bag of millet hulls is as advertised. They seem to be as clean as one can expect with minimal bits of dried grass mixed in along with what I believe to be a few buckwheat hulls. I spent about 30 minutes out on my deck with a pair of large strainers winnowing the hulls a bit to remove any dust and pulling out any grass I saw before filling a zippered pillowcase. At first I tried to use a standard sized pillowcase, which requires nearly the entire bag to fill. This created a pillow too heavy and unwieldy. So I ordered a 14 x 20 zippered pillowcase and filled that. It looks to me like you could fill about 3 of that sized pillow with these. I like that pillow pretty well, but I wish it were just a bit larger. I might try to find (or make) an in-between sized zippered case. I used to use either a contoured memory foam pillow or a pillow stuffed with shredded foam that could mold to your desired shape. Those pillows supported my neck well, but they got too hot. The millet-hull pillow is giving me the same neck support without the excess heat. It adjusts easily when I change from side to back, and it doesn’t make any noise that I notice.
