Dreamfoam Bedding Slumber Essentials Haven 12-Inch Cooling Gel Mattress, Made in The USA, Twin XL

The 12" version is extremely soft. But I bought it anyway because I read on DreamFoams website of a 120 night guarantee. Gave it a shot. Slept on it or 100 days and didn't like it. So I contacted DreamFoam and I was told:If you buy this mattress with Amazon Prime DreamFoam bedding will not honor their 120 night sleep guarantee. It is only offered on mattress sold by DreamFoam directly. Amazon states that this mattress is "Sold by DreamFoam - Fullfilled by Amazon." So what gives? DreamFoam told me I would have to work with amazon who has a 30 day return policy. A return policy is not the same as a "Risk Free 120 night guarantee."Final thought: DreamFoam and Brooklyn Bedding are the same company. I will be avoiding them forever. It shouldn't matter WHERE the product is purchased for a company to stand behind it. It's not like I bought it from the back parking lot of a shuttered Circuit City.

I was skeptical of buying a mattress that came in a box, however, I needed something for my rarely used guest bedroom and didn't want to spend a lot of money. Since this was Made In USA (very important to me) and had great reviews, I took a chance and ordered the 12" model.The mattress arrived in a large cardboard box, which was proudly marked "Made In USA" and had simple 3 step directions on it. The mattress itself was rolled, compressed, and shrink wrapped. As soon as I removed the plastic wrapping, the mattress inflated itself to nearly full size. I left the mattress on the floor for 3-4 days to fully inflate and air out. There was a slow but noticable odor, which was about 80% gone after 3-4 days and almost completely gone within a week. The mattress itself was immaculate, no stains, spots, etc. and appeared to be of high quality construction. The 12" model is soft and plush, and you will sink into it a bit. The material on the top side of the mattress is soft as well. This is what I like and prefer. If you prefer a firm mattress, do not order the 12" model! My guest bedroom set is from the 1950s, and was not meant for a box spring. I built a platform out of 1" x 4" clear pine. The mattress sits on top of the platform. I have slept on it every night for 2 weeks and find it very comfortable. I am 5'9 and 170 lbs. I will likely be ordering another one for my own bed!Update 02/06/2018, I liked this mattress so much, I purchased a second one for my bedroom. All of my guests (at least 5) were very pleased with the mattress as well. You cannot go wrong at this price point.

I'm almost afraid to say this (or type this) out loud...but I think my almost 20 year quest for a mattress that doesn't murder me is over! I don't want to jinx it... :( Recently, we redid my sons room and we purchased this same mattress for him.... it comes in a box, rolled up and "vacuum packed".... MADE IN THE USA TOO!!! HOO-RAH!! It literally takes minutes to "come to life"... (LOL) after working in his room all day, I put on his new sheets and comforter and I lay down on it... OMG!!!! ...what is that I felt? no pain? comfort? What the heck???!!! that feeling was foreign to me....maybe I was just tired.... so the next day with the excuse of saying hi, I went to his room... now he's 17 so we're not exactly welcomed in their space.... so I took him a candy bar hee hee hee and kinda made my way past him and his xbox just to lay on his bed.....wow!...that comfortable, pain free feeling was still there! Can it be? .... I said f*** it... and I ordered one for me... AND a new frame...... the mattress showed up first so I placed it on my existing frame...the first night I almost cried because mine didn't come with the comfort his did.... but I bought the same one..... then, the bed frame showed up, now we were complete... from that night and since, I kid you not.... I look forward to going to bed, I no longer dread bedtime.... this mattress is so darn comfortable. We have tried over the past 15-20 years everything from a $200 set from a local mattress store to an $8,000 tempurpedic and everything in between... and they ALL went back... I have hurt, I' felt twisted...my neck, my lower back, my shoulders, even my elbows!... my freaken elbows for pete's sake!!! How?! I have had almost a month now of actual rest and full nights of deep, uninterrupted sleep... I wake refreshed, and pain free. I don't know how long this will last, but I'm gonna love it as long as i can.... The mattress is attractive, more so than the photo.. also, it's cool... it's not a hot mattress... don't know how they put cool in there... but i love it! It doesn't indent, it doesn't hold you captive, it doesn't bother the next person, it doesn't make noise... i bought the 12 inch Queen size and I bought the Zinus Quick Snap TM 18 Inch Platform Bed Frame. I'm in absolute heaven these days....if only the big fat spoiled cat wouldn't take up my foot space..... well, you win some, you lose some!

Probably the best memory foam bed I have slept on. As a bigger guy, the edge support is great and isn't too hot. Really recommend the pillows they sell as well. Really great combination for just a great bed. Too many times on memory foam is super hot and also tough to move around in. The combination of gel and foam is the perfect blend of the best of both worlds. There's still a good amount of bounce and the firmness and support I need. Again, if your a bigger person, really recommend this mattress. So far, I'm in love. I will follow up in a few months.

This mattress is really comfortable and amazingly affordable. If you are use to sleeping on a very plush, pillowtop style mattress, you may not be entirely happy with this one as I would describe it as a medium, but that could be easily fixed with a topper. My favorite part of getting this mattress had to have been opening it. I found it very entertaining to see this large mattress unfold from a tiny vacuum sealed tube. It recommends letting it air out to fully open up, but I gave it an hour, made my bed and slept on it that night with no problems (I guess I am a bit impatient). I have been sleeping on it for about a year now and it has held up beautifully. If you sit on the very edge you will start to slide off because the mattress is softer there, but the way to fix that is by not sitting on the very edge....Overall I am very happy with this mattress and found it very convenient to purchase it online for moving since it came in a small box.
