Gardeneer By Dalen Pond & Pool Netting Protective Floating Net 28' x 28'

Is the mesh size really 3/8" because looking at the zoomed image the size appears to be 3/4"

I am concerned about birds getting tangled. Is this net more rigid than regular garden netting?

Can this net be cut without having it unravel? I need this small mesh to keep out live oak leaves, but the 14 x 14 is too small for my pond.
