Bo thank you for this book. yes I can honestly say you are a true friend of mine. Thank you for being a good friend by being honest in your book. I got as a gift and read in one eve. If you're a woman seriously looking for a man READ this FIRST! It helped me understand why I had so many creeps and losers in my life. I know exactly what to and NOT do now. Believe me until you read this book you will have no idea and you will keep doing the same things that allow losers and creeps to walk all over you! That dear is the definition of insanity. If anyone knows about men it would be a man. Here's a real man telling you the truth you need to know. Don't judge the book by the cover he has a lot of good advice and information all women need to know. Do NOT go on another date or get married before reading this book!

The author, a clinical hypnotist and life coach, cites experiences from friends, clients and even his four sisters, to illustrate and lend insight into the psyche of men, their desires and their self-perception. Through pivotal questions he enlightens readers regarding male-female relationships. Unlike most self-help guides, this book delves into actual relationships to enhance women's understanding of the men in their lives. All of this emanates from the keen perception of a savvy gay writer.The writing is straightforward, down to earth, and loaded with realistic advice. This is an engaging, absorbing and edifying read for women, and not surprisingly, for men as well.In all, a worthwhile and valuable contribution to the literature.

This is a charming, chatty little book that dishes out old-fashioned, tried and true advice: most men don't want to marry or get involved long-term with a woman who goes to bed with him early in the relationship. Books such as The Rules and others have fleshed out this same topic, but for some readers it might be more appealing coming from a male friend, and the author keeps this book light and encouraging. For the woman who isn't looking for a serious relationship, he offers no condemnation of flings. But for the woman who wants a commitment and keeps getting her heart broken, he explains why the men she dates are not interested, and what she can do to change the pattern.

I purchased my first copy of "Your Gay Friend's Guide To Understanding Men" in May of 2010. After reading (insightful and fun to read)I passed along my copy to my single niece who has been having issues dating. She loved it so much that she passed it along to another family member. A few months later I had a friend who lives across the country who was complaining about men and the dating scene (she is a divorced single mother). The light bulb went off and I ordered her a copy of this book. She loved it too! I recently downloaded the book to my kindle so that I can easily continue to share it with the important single women in my life in hopes of providing them some insight into the way us guys think as well as putting a smile on their face! Be a friend, buy a copy for the women in your life and ask them to pass it along!

I'm one of those readers who have to be stimulated throughout the entire book--or, I never finish it. That never became an issue with this book. From the first page--to the last, I was eager to read more!This book is filled with sensible relationship advice that is presented in a sometimes humorous fashion. Many of the relationship scenarios had me laughing at myself. Bo gives the reader the opportunity to examine so many different types of relationships...that you are certain to find yourself in there, somewhere!Advice is given gently, in a succinct manner. Oftentimes, Bo's words are poetic...causing me to go back and read an excerpt over...finding his message to be profound.A great read, for anyone and everyone....NOT just the "girlfriends" of the world!

And I already wish I had actually PAID for this book because it's *that* awesome. I love the style of voice, I love the author to bits and pieces, I think the subject is WAY important and I have learned quite a bit - can't wait to jump back into it! Thank you for making such a terrific book available - YOU are SO AWESOME BO!

Both myself and Bo go to the same spiritual center and I had heard about this book from him and others. Even though I am not in the target audience, I still found a lot of information that I can use in my own life. It's a great read and I recommend it to anyone!!
