Embouchure Builder for French Horn

Exactly what I needed, a great book for warmups, extending range, and building embouchure.

What a great buy! I've been playing out of it for about a month now, and I can already feel vast improvements in strength and endurance. What has amazed me the most about the selections in Embouchure Builder is my improvement in the high range. The more strenuous set of exercises says in the introduction that, after a few weeks of doing it correctly, your ability to enter on high notes (in the high C range or so) will improve, and I am absolutely blown away by my personal results. I wouldn't recommend this book for anyone before early high or middle school, but by your sophomore year or so of high school, I would think this book is one of the best purchases you can make.

I'll get to it eventually, I'm learning eleven brass instruments, and really haven't fully gotten into it yetLooks like it will be a valuable asset to my collection of music self instruction books, I need all the help I can get. Brian

At a risk of sounding like a wise guy; in my humble opinion, the best way to build your embouchure is simply to "blow your own horn". In saying this, there is no possible way to build up your embouchure without blowing your horn as often as your schedule (and your family) will allow. I was a little disappointed to discover this to be a series of practice notes.

Lots of good things and rigorous for the willing player. Approach with sensitivity and care since their is heavy material

I'm a beginning player and hardly in a position to do more than look through the pages. It's heartening to think I may one day actually play these exercises - purchased on high recommendation from my teacher. Wish me (and all of us) luck.

By doing these excercises daily my range and stamina have dramatically increased! This is a must by, just remember that the book is not magic, you have to work for it.
